Mentorship is a powerful tool that not only provides guidance but also offers direction, fosters a sense of belonging, and builds resilience to navigate challenges with confidence.

This weekend, our CyberSkills Bridge 1.0 Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in an insightful mentorship session with our mentor, an executive passionate about connecting “the dots” between business and technology.

During the session, participants will engage in valuable discussions on leadership and cybersecurity, gaining thought leadership from our mentor.

About Our Mentor:
Professor Oludotun (Dot) Oni, PhD, CISSP, CISM is an experienced, award-winning educator, engineer, technical consultant, and strategist with an outstanding track record of delivering technical solutions to the corporate world. He uniquely blends academia and industry expertise, having won numerous awards in both sectors.

Professor Oni specializes in Cybersecurity, Network Auditing, Risk Management, Vulnerability Assessment, Cloud Computing, Quantitative Analysis (SPSS, SAS, R, Python, Tableau), and Big Data Analytics (Hadoop). He is a member of several professional organizations, including ISC2, ACM, ISACA, ASEE, PMI, AEHIS, AEHIT, and the Informing Science Institute.

With over 30 years of teaching experience at the university level and 35 years of technical management and board leadership, Professor Oni brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to the table.

We are pleased to announce our mentor for the week for the Cyber Skills Bridge Fellowship Grant Hughes. Mr Hughes will mentor our Cyber Skills Bridge 1.0 fellows this Saturday. 

Grant Hughes holds a master’s degree in information security and a distinguished list of industry certifications, including CISSP, CCSP, SSCP, CC, CISA, CISM, CLP, CEH, and more. 

As a trusted advisor and respected thought leader in the security industry, his expertise spans multiple disciplines within information security. Grant has authored several peer-reviewed articles in the ISACA International Journal, regularly contributes to ISC2 Insights, and serves as the founding president of the ISC2 Cape Town Chapter. 

He was recognized in the 2024 edition of Top Cyber News Magazine’s “40 Under 40” (Berlin) and won the Cyber Leadership Institute’s Global Competition in June 2023 for his comprehensive cyber resilience strategy. 

Additionally, Grant is an ISC2 Authorized Instructor for CC, SSCP, CCSP, and CISSP.
