IWHURUOHNA REBIRTH INITIATIVE.:.:
Iwhuruohna Rebirth Initiative is an organisation created on the 13th of March 2016. This organisation is committed to do help do the following in Eli Iwhuruohna.
1. Deduction of high bride price and Promote intermarriage among the Sons and daughters of Eli Iwhuruohna. Most of the communities in Eli Iwhuruohna, their marriage list is alarming, thereby affecting ou
r sisters and pushing the young men to marry outside. We are not trying to preach tribalism or create barriers, all we are trying to do is improve our fatherland.
2.: Promote formal and informal education among all and sundry of Eli Iwhuruohna. We want to encourage education in all ramification, whether old or young must be educated. We are making plans to commence it in all the four local government areas of Eli Iwhuruohna. All Rumu Iwhuruohna must know how to read and write.
3.: Promote Skill acquisition, self employment or empowerment. We want to see an independent youth(s) in Eli Iwhuruohna, enough of dependence on house rent, Late parents properties or sales of land or other assets. We are here to encourage ourselves, to learn skills or trade before or after your Secondary School education as to help cut down immorality among our boys and girls.
4.: Orientate Iwhnuruohna people on the need to be responsible, peaceful and accommodating. Most communities in Eli Iwhuruohna are tagged with bad names because the attitude of the people there, we are committed to carry out seminars, conferences, talk shows and debates all to re-orient our communities to be peaceful and shun fighting and any other vices that will tarnish the image of Eli Iwhuruohna within and diaspora.
5.: Promote traditions that will edify Eli Iwhnuruohna. We are committed to promote our culture and traditions, like Egelege, eri ikwu, ekuu onu Iwhuruohna, nu ha de ke berere zi mkpa. NOTE.: We are not working for any political party or politician, we are centred on how to edify Eli Iwhnuruohna. We meet every second Sunday of the month..
