SIGNATURE PROJECT - Oral Health Care 2025 - 7th Edition.

Every 1st of July, we welcome the new Rotary year with our Signature project which centers on DISEASE PREVENTION AND CONTROL. This year 2025/2026 Rotary year is the 7th edition and we had Twelve Partners (10 Rotary clubs, 1 Rotaract club and Brothers across Rotaract- BAR)

It was an insightful project where the children of Iche Eze Akaloro community primary school Elekahia were taught how to brush their teeth and benefits of brushing which a practical mouth wash was done and they were gifted a toothbrush and toothpaste.

The Children were very happy we came and expressed their appreciation, the school management also expressed their gratitude for choosing their school.

Dear friends,

Today, we gather to recognize and celebrate the contributions, achievements, and struggles of men in Rotary and the world at large. International Men's Day ( theme: EMPOWERING MEN , BUILDING A STRONGER COMMUNITY) is a call to action, encouraging us to address the challenges men face and promote positive change.

As we all know , men are faced with certain challenges such as;
1. Mental health stigma and suicidal thoughts
2. Societal expectations and toxic masculinity
4. Fatherhood and family dynamics
5. Economic and educational inequalities etc..
Despite being faced with the above challenges ,

Today, we gather to celebrate a momentous occasion (our nation's Independence Day).We commemorate the bravery, resilience, and vision of our founding fathers who fought tirelessly for our freedom.

We pay tribute to the heroes who paved the way for our independence. Their sacrifice, determination, and unwavering commitment to our nation's future continue to inspire us.

As HUMANITARIANS , let us reflect on our journey, and take pride in our achievements. We've made significant impacts in Polio eradication, education, maternal and child care ,economic development, peace and conflict resolution , water disease prevention etc.

However, our work is far from over. We must continue to strive for a brighter tomorrow.

PRESIDENT NEW MONTH MESSAGE..

Dear friends and partners in service ,

As we step into this new month, I want us to take a moment to reflect on the journey that has brought us here. The past month has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, twists and turns in our lives , club and the District. We've faced challenges, overcome obstacles, and celebrated triumphs.

But as we turn the page to this new chapter, I want to remind you that every day is a gift, every moment is a fresh start, and every breath is a chance to begin anew.

This new month represents a clean slate, a blank canvas waiting to be filled with IMPACTFUL PROJECTS,CAREER ADVANCEMENT,CLUB GROWTH . It's an opportunity to rewrite our narratives, to redefine our paths, and to rediscover our passions.

The Rotaract Club of Port Harcourt Township on Monday 1st June 2024 had the 6th edition of her Signature Project on ORAL HEALTH CAMPAIGN with Colgate International as brand Partners and Rotaract and Rotary clubs as Co-Partners at Christan Council Group of Schools Elekahia where 1,000 school children were taught on how to on how to take care of their mouth and brush daily to avoid mouth disease, later they were given free toothpaste and toothbrush.

This project covers the Rotary Area of focus on Disease Prevention and Control.
