Children’s Day commemoration in Nigeria, today, should be a time for sober reflection and collective action, over the danger facing our children as they go to school.

More than a decade after the Chibok abduction, education is still under attack in Nigeria.

This month alone, more than 50 children, including toddlers were reportedly abducted by suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP insurgents in Borno state. Also, a week ago, in Oyo state, 25 students and 9 teachers were abducted.

Dr. Oyebode, author of The Stolen Daughters of Chibok, tells us why it is important to document these story, beyond the headlines the world remembers.

This is more than an interview. It is a conversation about memory, truth and resistance.
