It can be verbal—saying mean things, teasing, or calling names. Sometimes, it can even be emotional—excluding someone from a group or spreading rumors. And with social media, bullying can happen online too, even when you’re not in the same place.

Now, think about how it feels when someone says something mean or ignores you. It can hurt your feelings, right? That’s how bullying feels every single day for the person it’s happening to. It can make them feel isolated, unimportant, or like they don’t belong.
