Throwing it back to a few moments from the 5th Niger Delta MSME Summit. These in-between moments capture some of the faces and energy that made the day truly memorable.

Beyond the panels and speeches, it’s the sense of community and shared purpose that truly drives growth.

“While grants and loans play an important role in scaling businesses, they are not the starting point.”

During the red carpet session at the 5th Niger Delta MSME Summit, Mr. Harry Porbeni , Founder of GetAdvantage Consulting, emphasized that the real work begins with validating your idea, building something tangible, and putting clear short and long-term plans in place. When a business is properly structured, purposeful, and growth-ready, accessing funding becomes a lot more achievable.

It was a timely reminder to young entrepreneurs that sustainability is built on preparation, not just capital.

“For so long, the major focus in the Niger Delta has been on oil. But at NDYP, we are empowering young businesses to grow thereby shifting their attention beyond oil and into resourcefulness. We need to be the change we want to see.” - Mr. Gerald So-George , NDYP Coordinator, speaking during the red carpet session at the 5th Niger Delta MSME Summit 2025, held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The energy at the 5th Niger Delta MSME Summit was unmistakable. What unfolded was a day of honest conversations, practical learning, and shared commitment to strengthening the MSME ecosystem in the Niger Delta. Entrepreneurs didn’t just listen, they engaged, questioned, learned, and connected.

Across keynote sessions, panel discussions, and the bootcamp experience, participants explored what it truly takes to build sustainable businesses in today’s climate from access to finance and infrastructure to the role of technology, innovation, and youth-led enterprise. The summit created room for real stories, real challenges, and real solutions.

Beyond the thought-provoking sessions and speeches, the summit delivered tangible outcomes with grant presentations empowering businesses, ideas taking shape, and entrepreneurs leaving inspired, connected, and ready to grow.
