Before you send your money to Cowrywise, PiggyVest, Opay or any savings platform, please ask questions first.

Don't save blindly. It's true that these platforms are not illegal. But think of it in this way, your money deserves understanding.

A lot of us hear:

“Save here and get 15%.”

“Lock your money for 6 months.”

“Invest and earn returns.”

And immediately start transferring money.

But do you know:

• When you can withdraw?
• What happens if you need the money earlier?
• Is the money being saved or invested?
• What are the risks?
• How are the returns calculated?
• What happens at the maturity date?

As a corper, ₦20,000 is not “small money.”

That could be your transport money, emergency fund, course fee or the beginning of the savings target you promised yourself.

Don't just save.
Understand where you're saving, why you're saving and what you're signing up for. Understand your tool and explore it confidently whether you are using the Kuda app or Cowrywise.

This is one of the conversations we had this week during the OMAI Mindset monday. At OMAI , we are helping corps members make better decisions with their allawee before it disappears.

And if you're wondering where to start, our financial guide: One Million Allawee was written specifically for this journey.

Your allawee can help you build something.

Most people think saving money is the hard part. But it is not.

The hardest part is deciding what to do after you've saved it.

- Should you keep saving?
- Should you invest?
- Should you start a business?
- Should you spend it on that opportunity?

One wrong decision can erase months or even years of discipline in a wrong path.

That's why we created this exclusive workshop.

We'll discuss how to protect your savings, make wiser financial decisions, avoid common mistakes, and create a practical roadmap for your money.

Access fee is 2,200 but it's FREE to readers of One Million Allawee book. Check the details on the flyer to join us.

Your savings deserve more than sitting in an account. They deserve a plan.

See you!

If you've been struggling to manage your finances, come closer.

The problem is that you're spending too much. See, all those friends cheering you up at that round table filled with drinks and barbecue won't save you when your bank account reads red.

And before you say, "Real friends don't exist", ask yourself if you are being real with your money.

Money mismanagement is a behavioral problem because the habit you build on small money is the same habit that will protect big money later.

If you are looking for a community to help you make financial progress, and stay accountable, we are here to guide you.

It's OMAI SAVINGS DEPOSIT WEEK!

From 1st – 7th August, every member is encouraged to make their monthly savings deposit, no matter the amount.

Don't underestimate what one deposit can do. Every ₦1,000, ₦5,000 or ₦10,000 saved today is a step closer to the financial future you're working towards.

Small deposits may not look impressive today, but repeated over time, they become remarkable.

Let us make August count.

Congratulations to our Smart Savers.

What's one financial win you're proud of this week?

It could be anything. Maybe,

You resisted an impulse purchase.

You finally opened a savings account.

You completed your budget.

You made your first ₦5,000 outside your allowance.

You said "No" to an outing because it didn't fit your plan.

We are here to celebrate that.

Financial Mistakes Most corpers make in their first three months. ‼️

1. Waiting until the end of the month to save.

2. Trying to impress people

3. Before you know it, your account balance is begging for mercy.

4. Believing you'll become serious later.

If you're just starting NYSC, don't repeat these mistakes. And if you've already made them, it's not too late to reset.

That's exactly why our financial guide: One Million Allawee, was written to help corps members and graduates avoid learning money lessons the hard way.

Your financial goal is possible, you just haven't found the right room that encourages you to chase it.

Tomorrow is Monday.

For lots of people, it's the beginning of another week of work.

For us at OMAI, it's another opportunity to make better financial decisions.

Before you sleep tonight, take 10 minutes to reset.

Ask yourself:

💭 What financial goal am I pursuing this week?

💭 What unnecessary expense can I avoid?

💭 How much do I plan to save before this week ends?

💭 Is there an income opportunity I can explore?

As you prepare your clothes, your work bag, and your schedule for tomorrow, prepare your money too.

Go into this new week with a plan for your finances.

See you tomorrow for Mindset Monday.
