*RECOGNIZING THE VOICE OF GOD*
_“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” â€â€(John‬ â€10‬:â€27‬-â€28‬ â€KJV‬‬)_
One of the greatest privileges of every believer is the ability to hear the voice of God. Our God is not silent, but constantly speaking to His children through His Word and the Holy Spirit in accordance with His divine purpose. The challenge is often not that God is unwilling to speak, but that many believers have not cultivated the sensitivity to recognize His voice.
Elijah discovered that God’s voice is not always dramatic. After the wind, earthquake and fire came, God spoke in a still small voice (1 Kings 19:11-13). This teaches us that while God can speak in extraordinary ways, He also speaks quietly to our hearts especially when we maintain stillness and reverence before Him. This is why it is important for you as a child of God to deliberately create time and space for you to speak to God and for God to speak to you.
Recognizing God’s voice forms a major part of your relationship with Him. Just as a child learns to recognize the voice of the parents through constant communication and quality time, we believers must learn to recognize God’s voice through intimacy, studying His Word and obedience to divine instructions. Quiet your heart before him and receive the ability to distinguish His voice from other voices, and the noise around you.

_God’s Word is my standard. His word and the Spirit guide my steps. I will not be deceived, for the Lord directs me in the way I should go._
*Prophetic Prayers:*
1. I command every veil covering my spiritual eyes and ears, be removed by the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ Name.
2. O Lord, sharpen my spiritual discernment. Let me clearly recognize Your voice and distinguish it from the voice of the enemy, the desire of the flesh, and the deceptive opinions of men, in Jesus’ Name.
3. I declare that I will not miss my season because of ignorance or disobedience. For every divine instruction meant for my lifting, I shall receive and obey faithfully, in Jesus’ Name.
