SEASON GREETINGS TO US ALL, IN JESUS’ NAME.
I write with deep humility, a sense of responsibility, and unwavering commitment to formally inform you all of my aspiration to contest for the position of Chairman of Pankshin Local Government Area in 2026.
This aspiration is born out of sincere concern for the future of Pankshin and the firm belief that the leadership capacity and impact required at this critical time demand experience, competence, vision, and a transformative mindset. Pankshin LGA deserves leadership that will deliberately reposition it as an investment-attractive, economically vibrant, and youth-empowering local government.
I strongly believe that the sons and daughters of Mhiship land are capable of redefining our leadership story, and I humbly present myself—Chief Koppe Sylvanus Joseph, FIMC, ICIP, LBS-MBA, a son of Mhiship—as one among many capable hands willing to serve.
By God’s grace, my leadership journey and experience span across public service, private enterprise, technology, and human capital development:
Former Head of ICT, PLAGIS, Ministry of Lands, Plateau State (resigned honorably in 2014 in pursuit of broader service)
* Founder, Plateau Association of Tech Companies (PLATEC)
* Founder, A+ Computer Training Technology Limited, the first indigenous *NBTE-approved ICT and Business Technology Incubation Centre, with operational centres in Jos, Bauchi, and Lafia
A deliberate investor in human capital development, youth empowerment, leadership grooming, and community growth
My aspiration should be judged not by sentiment but by leadership capacity, experience, consistency, and proven commitment to service, I have remained steadfast in my desire to serve, having previously contested:
* The 2022 State House of Assembly Bye-Election
* The 2024 Chairmanship Election, and now
* Seeking the mandate again in 2026, with renewed clarity, deeper experience, and stronger resolve.
Today, I humbly seek the support, approval, prayers, and collective backing of our community leaders, elders, brothers, sisters, families, and districts. I firmly believe that with the right leadership, Pankshin can experience genuine transformation*, and the Mhiship people can help birth that change.
As consultations continue, I will officially visit our traditional fathers, elders, MCCDA, MYM, and other critical stakeholders but i have to make this media post becuase of the digital age. However, I kindly ask that all sons and daughters of Mhiship Nation accept this message as my formal declaration of intention.
I appeal passionately to you all to see the need to approve, support, and stand with me on this journey of service—so together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous, and future-ready Pankshin Local Government.
May God guide our decisions, bless Mhiship land, and reward every sacrifice made in the interest of our people.
