🇳🇬 *66th Independence Day Message to the Nation* 🇳🇬
*On the occasion of the 66th Independence Anniversary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Chief Commissioner of The Scout Association of Nigeria (TSAN) extends warm greetings and best wishes to all Nigerians, members of the Scout Movement, families, friends, partners, and stakeholders across the country and beyond.*
*This significant national occasion provides an opportunity for us to reflect on Nigeria’s journey since independence, acknowledge the sacrifices and contributions of those who have served our nation, and renew our collective commitment to the ideals upon which our great country was founded.*
*Nigeria remains a nation of remarkable diversity, blessed with different cultures, languages, traditions, talents, and communities. Our diversity is an important part of our national identity and, when strengthened by mutual respect and understanding, remains a powerful foundation for national unity and development.*
*As members of the Scout Movement, we recognise that service to humanity and country is a responsibility that transcends individual interests. Scouting continues to promote character development, discipline, leadership, community service, responsible citizenship, and peaceful coexistence among young people.*
*The Scout Association of Nigeria therefore reaffirms its commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to the development of responsible, disciplined, resourceful, and patriotic young Nigerians who are prepared to make meaningful contributions to their communities and the nation.*
*This anniversary also reminds us of the importance of peace, unity, tolerance, integrity, and responsible citizenship. Building the Nigeria we desire requires the participation of every citizen, with each person contributing positively within their community and sphere of influence.*
*We particularly celebrate the resilience and determination of Nigerian youths, whose creativity, courage, innovation, and energy continue to contribute to the growth and development of the nation. Their leadership potential must continue to be nurtured through meaningful opportunities, mentorship, education, and service.*
*As we celebrate, we also recognise that nation-building is a continuous process. The responsibility of creating a peaceful, prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable Nigeria belongs to all of us. Every act of service, honesty, compassion, and responsibility contributes to the progress of our nation.*
