LOVE IN ACTION - FRIENDSHIP & FELLOWSHIP 🌹

This Valentine's Day, love took on a whole new meaning for the Rotary Club of Owerri Government House as we joined hands with the Rotary Club of Owerri Uptown for a beautiful and heartwarming Fellowship celebration. Held on Monday February 17, 2026, at the iconic Rento Hotel in New Owerri, the special event was about embracing Love in Action through service, connection and fellowship. 💖

The evening was filled with joy and camaraderie, featuring an exchange of thoughtful gifts 🎁, lively music, and fun games that got everyone involved! But what truly stood out was the powerful talk on the theme: "Beyond Romance: Celebrating Love Through Service And Fellowship" a timely reminder that love isn't just about personal but about giving back to the community and lifting each other up.

For Rotary members, Valentine’s Day serves as a perfect opportunity to reconnect with friends, promote goodwill, and celebrate the spirit of compassion, friendship, and selfless service. Aligned with Rotary’s motto, "Service Above Self," we were reminded that true love is best expressed when we serve others and strengthen the bonds of fellowship.

Dear Friends,
Compliments of the season to you all.

As we celebrate the joy and goodwill that come with Christmas, I wish to sincerely thank every member for your commitment and support towards keeping our club strong, vibrant, and formidable.

I deeply appreciate those who have paid their first semi-annual dues and generously supported our charitable activities this Rotary year. Your dedication truly reflects the spirit of Service Above Self.

As we prepare to close out the year, I kindly remind us of the need to commence payment of the second semi-annual dues. I also wish to conscientize our dear members who are owing dues from previous Rotary years, as well as those who have not made any financial commitment for the current Rotary year, to please do the needful promptly. Kindly note that members who remain in default will be yanked off the Rotary portal on or before 31st December, in line with Rotary guidelines.

As we exchange Christmas wishes and look forward to a hopeful New Year, I pray that God, in His infinite mercy, will provide for us all and grant us the grace and resources to meet our obligations as Rotarians and as people of service.

May this season bring peace, joy, good health, and renewed strength to you and your families.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
