With the increasing growth of the Owerri Metropolis, we are taking deliberate measures to ensure a sustainable transportation scheme and network; hence, the Bus Terminal projects being constructed to deliver world-class commuter services across the State.

I am pleased to note that significant progress has been made, demonstrating our commitment to modernizing public transport infrastructure in line with global best practices, as work advances on the Arugo Bus Terminal and the Naze Bus Terminal, both strategically designed to efficiently manage a vast transport network on a sustainable basis.

These facilities are being developed with a strong commitment to safety for both operators and passengers, while fostering efficiency, orderliness, and environmental responsibility, and together, the two terminals represent part of a broader network of interconnected projects poised to transform the transportation sector of our dear State and stimulate economic activities through enhanced mobility and structured urban development.

At the Imo State Government House Annex, Eziachi, Orlu, I assented to the Imo State 2026 Appropriation Law, appropriately titled the “Budget of Economic Breakthrough.”

This development represents another significant step in advancing the objectives of our administration’s 3R agenda and Shared Prosperity vision. Through strategic investments and clearly defined priorities, the budget reinforces our commitment to building an industrialised, inclusive, and economically resilient Imo State.

I extend my sincere appreciation to the Rt. Honourable Speaker and the distinguished members of the Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA) for their dedication and the timely, yet thorough, consideration and passage of this all-important bill in the best interest of Ndi Imo.

With the signing of this law, the State is positioned to commence the year without interruption, ensuring the smooth implementation of projects, effective governance delivery, and the ex*****on of people-oriented programmes that will continue to improve the welfare of our citizens and stimulate economic growth.

Our ongoing road revolution is transforming our dear State, fostering connectivity and enhancing the ease of doing business for all.

Just about a week ago, I inspected the progress of work on the DSS road, which links Orlu road and Onitsha road. I am delighted to share that this critical infrastructure project has been fully completed.

The road, designed and constructed as a dual carriageway, is equipped with a comprehensive drainage system and solar-powered streetlights, ensuring both durability and safety.

It is particularly commendable that this project was delivered within the contractual time, underscoring our commitment to efficiency.
