FUHSO! FUHSO!! FUHSO!!! PART 2!
On Professor Innocent Ujah and his Federal University Of Health Sciences Otukpo-FUHSO acting VC shenanigans, Idoma youths say no to any form of shady and abysmal appointment of a self desired acting Vice Chancellor in the person of Prof. Steve Abah.
You will recall that the said Prof. Ujah was unanimously suspended by the governing council and the senate committee of the institution on the 17th October,2024 following his abysmal handling of the institution's affairs (running the University as a self owned institution).
Upon that suspension, in order not to allow for a leadership vacuum in the institution the governing council and the senate committee unanimously appointed Prof. Ediga Agbo as the acting VC of the school pending the formal appointment of a substantive VC in time to come.
What amazes us is the act of desperation exhibited by the earlier suspended first VC of FUHSO, Prof. Innocent Ujah on the 5th November,2024, to convey a kangaroo senate meeting despite rift resistance by relevant stakeholders both within the institution and the host community.
Despite all those resistance, in his bid to cover up for his maladministration throughout his tenure in the school as a pioneer VC for four years going that never saw any course nor department been accredited, no progress work at the permanent site of the school at Akwete Akpa not to talk of the shadow of itself University Teaching Hospital Otukpo. Considering the so many BILLIONS of Naira allocated and released to the school for such purpose.
Ujah went ahead to convey a senate meeting of the school at the conference hall of the University Teaching Hospital Otukpo comprising of 47 professors from the school and thereby appointed his prepared instrument Prof. Steve Abah in a kangaroo senate meeting of 47 professors that only 16 voted in support of his kangaroo arrangement out of the 47 Professors in that meeting.
With this kangaroo and desperate actions by Prof. Ujah that posses danger to the peace and orderliness that should guide the school. We the Idoma youths under the umbrella of Idoma National Youth Development Forum-INYDF wishes to inform the relevant authorities and stakeholders to please call Prof. Innocent Ujah and his co-traveller in this shenanigans to order so as to allow for peace and order to reign in the school as the kangaroo appointment of his instrument Prof. Steve Abah should be jettisoned to prevent the break down of law and order within the school and the host community. As we will not watch Prof. Innocent Ujah pull down the school due to his selfish interest and thereby mess up our collective heritage as noble Idoma people.
