Osun Open Local Government is a project of Insight Initiative aimed at reawakening the awareness of Osun residents on the roles of LGs and to bring about accountability and civic engagement at the grassroots level. The mission is to: Alleviate Poverty, support government policies to promote quality education and lighten the Youth Advocacy.

A New Milestone for Open Local Governance in Osun!

We are proud to have unveiled the OsunOpenLG 2.0 Strategic Status, Impact and Policy Review during our interactive session on Reporting for Grassroots Accountability.

The event brought together journalists to discuss how public interest journalism can strengthen transparency and accountability in local government administration.

Participants also had the opportunity to explore Amoye, our AI-powered WhatsApp civic assistant that makes governance information easier to access for everyone.

As we celebrate this milestone, we sincerely appreciate the Naijayouthfund, for supporting the OsunOpenLG 2.0 Project and making this vision a reality. Insight Initiative for Community and Social Development (IICSD) heartily congratulates our esteemed Board of Trustees Chairman, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama Tegbosun III (CON), the Olowu of Kuta, on the joyous occasion of his 62nd birthday.

As an exceptional traditional ruler, patriot and advocate for community development, Kabiyesi has continued to exemplify visionary leadership, integrity, courage and selfless service. His commitment to peace, good governance, youth development and the advancement of democratic values has earned him admiration across Nigeria and beyond.

As Chairman of IICSD's Board of Trustees, Oba Makama Tegbosun III has provided invaluable guidance and unwavering support to the organisation's mission of promoting transparency, accountability, citizen participation, social inclusion and sustainable community development.

His fatherly counsel and strategic leadership have remained instrumental to the growth and impact of IICSD.

On this special occasion, we celebrate not only the gift of another year in Kabiyesi's life, but also his enduring legacy of service to humanity, dedication to nation-building and steadfast commitment to the welfare of his people.
