CAI4SR 3-Day Strategic Retreat Highlights

The Community Advancement Initiative for Self Reliance (CAI4SR) recently held a 3-day retreat that brought together staff and friends of the organization for reflection, learning, and strategic planning.

The retreat provided a valuable space to collectively assess our journey, explore practical ways to move the organization forward, and strengthen collaboration across the team. Key outcomes from the retreat included:

Strategic discussions on CAI4SR’s growth and sustainability

Planning and drafting of the 2026 Annual Costed Workplan

Review and strengthening of key organizational policies

Onboarding and orientation for new team members

The retreat reaffirmed our shared commitment to CAI4SR’s mission of advancing social responsibility, disability inclusion, and community development, while positioning the organization for greater impact in the year ahead.

.The Community Advancement Initiative for Self-Reliance (CAI4SR) is a non-profit organization committed to advancing human rights, disability inclusion, and community development across Nigeria.

As we continue to strengthen our operations and expand our impact, we are seeking dedicated volunteers to support the organization in the following roles:

1. HR / Administrative Support

Assist with volunteer and staff documentation

Support basic HR processes and administrative coordination

Help improve internal systems and record keeping

2. Legal Support

Provide pro-bono legal guidance to the organization

Support compliance, policy review, and documentation

Advise on non-profit governance and regulatory matters

3. IT Support

Support basic IT needs (email systems, data management, tools)

Assist with website, digital security, or technology solutions

Help strengthen CAI4SR’s digital presence and efficiency

Who can volunteer:

Professionals, early career practitioners, or experienced volunteers

Individuals passionate about social justice, inclusion, and community impact

Ability to commit time remotely (and occasionally onsite, if applicable)
