REPORT OF THE FIRST FORMAL EXECUTIVE MEETING OF THE INTERIM CENTRAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL (ICEC) OF TANANG OSUNG DEVELOPMENT UNION (TO-DU)
‎
‎The Newly Inaugurated Interim Central Executive Council (ICEC) of Tanang Osung Development Union (TO-DU) today held its first formal Executive Meeting to deliberate extensively on the vision, mission, priorities, and strategic direction of the Union towards the development and advancement of Tanang Osung communities.
‎
‎The meeting, which marked a significant milestone in the journey of the newly inaugurated leadership, focused on identifying immediate community needs and formulating practical solutions aimed at promoting sustainable development, unity, education, environmental sanitation, and youth participation.
‎
‎Following exhaustive deliberations, the Council unanimously resolved to commence intervention efforts at Government Primary School, Eyotai, which has been identified as one of the critical institutions requiring urgent attention and support.
‎
‎As part of its commitment to ensuring a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment for pupils and teachers, the Council approved the engagement of Elder Effiong Etim Otuodung (Respect) to undertake the monthly clearing and maintenance of grasses and surrounding vegetation within the school premises. The Council further approved a monthly remuneration of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira (₦25,000.00) for the ex*****on of this responsibility.
‎
‎In furtherance of the planned sanitation exercise and in the spirit of collaboration with traditional institutions and youth stakeholders, the Council officially informed the Village Head of Eyotai, Elder Chief Edet Effiong Uwe, and the Village Head of Udung Ozin, Chief Ita Matthew, of the Union's intervention and sanitation programme at Government Primary School, Eyotai.
‎
‎The Council also engaged the Youth Presidents of the two communities to ensure effective grassroots mobilization and community participation. To facilitate adequate sensitization and awareness, a sum of Twelve Thousand Naira (₦12,000.00) was provided to the youth leadership for mobilization efforts and the engagement of town criers to notify members of the communities about the sanitation exercise scheduled to hold on Saturday.

‎Recognizing the deteriorating condition and pressing needs of Government Primary School, Eyotai, the Interim Central Executive Council further resolved to assume an active role in supporting and managing the welfare and development needs of the institution. Consequently, TO-DU has formally decided to take over the affairs of Government Primary School, Eyotai, through strategic interventions, periodic maintenance, stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and community-driven development initiatives aimed at restoring the school to an enviable standard.

‎This landmark decision underscores the Union's unwavering commitment to educational development, community service, and the welfare of future generations. The Council believes that education remains the foundation of societal progress and that every child deserves access to a clean, safe, and inspiring learning environment.
‎
‎The Interim Central Executive Council therefore calls on all sons and daughters of Tanang Osung, community leaders, youth groups, stakeholders, public office holders, and development partners to support this noble initiative and join hands with the Union in rebuilding and repositioning Government Primary School, Eyotai, for the benefit of present and future generations.

‎The Council remains committed to transparency, accountability, inclusiveness, and people-oriented leadership as it continues to pursue projects and programmes that will positively impact the lives of the people of Tanang Osung.

A PASSIONATE APPEAL TO THE EYOTAI PEOPLE
FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE AS SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE EYOTAI CONSULTATIVE AND EMPOWERMENT ASSEMBLY (ECEA)

My dear Eyotai elders, brothers, sisters, youths, women, stakeholders, and distinguished sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora,

I write with deep humility, sincere conviction, and an unwavering commitment to our collective progress to seek your support and mandate to serve as the Secretary General of the Eyotai Consultative and Empowerment Assembly (ECEA) in the forthcoming election.

This aspiration is not driven by personal ambition alone, but by a genuine desire to contribute meaningfully to the unity, growth, empowerment, and advancement of the Eyotai people. Our community stands at a critical point where visionary leadership, effective coordination, transparency, inclusiveness, and purposeful administration are urgently needed to reposition ECEA for greater impact.

The office of the Secretary General is the engine room of the Assembly. It requires dedication, discipline, wisdom, integrity, accountability, excellent communication, and the ability to unite people across interests and generations. I humbly submit myself as one who is prepared to work tirelessly for these ideals.

If given the privilege to serve, my focus shall include:

* Promoting unity, peace, and harmony among all Eyotai people;
* Strengthening the administrative effectiveness and institutional structure of ECEA;
* Encouraging active youth and women participation in community development;
* Ensuring transparency, accountability, and proper documentation in the affairs of the Assembly;
* Advancing empowerment initiatives, educational support, and economic opportunities for our people;
* Building stronger collaboration with stakeholders, elders, leaders, and development partners;
* Preserving our values, heritage, and collective dignity as a people.

I firmly believe that leadership is service, sacrifice, and responsibility. I am ready to listen, learn, consult widely, and work with every segment of our community irrespective of political alignment, age, or status. Together, we can build a more united, respected, and progressive Eyotai nation.

I therefore passionately appeal to all delegates, stakeholders, leaders, and the entire Eyotai people to support my candidacy and grant me the opportunity to serve diligently as your Secretary General.

Your trust will not be taken for granted. Your support shall inspire greater commitment to duty, fairness, and excellence.

MY MANIFESTO AS PRESIDENT GENERAL OF EYOTAI CONSULTATIVE AND EMPOWERMENT ASSEMBLY (ECEA).

Candidate's Statement: My Mission Statement:

My fellow Atanang Osung sons and daughters, home and in the diaspora, today I present myself to serve as your President General, not for title, not for gains or financial benefits but for duty and commitment.
Our strength as a people has always been in our unity, discipline, and commitment to lifting one another. Today, we must renew that commitment with action.

My/our administration will be built on 5 pillars:
Education, Unity, Peace, Development, and Character.

1. Education: Knowledge as Our Foundation: An Atanang Osung child left behind is the whole community held back.
- Establish an Atanang Osung Education Support Fund to assist indigent students at secondary and tertiary levels.
- Exploit avenues and opportunity for establishment of a secondary school in Atanang Osung land.
- Organize annual career and scholarship workshops in partnership with professionals in the diaspora to expose our youth to opportunities in various areas of human endeavors.
- Launch a mentorship network connecting Atanang Osung students with professionals across Nigeria and abroad.

2. Unity: One People, One Voice!!
Division weakens us. Our progress depends on speaking with one voice. We will
- Revive regular town hall meetings both physical and virtual, so every Atanang Osung's voice is heard, at home and in the diaspora.
- Create a Diaspora-Home Liaison Committee to ensure projects and decisions reflect the needs of all members.
- Celebrate our culture through annual Atanang Osung Unity Day to strengthen identity and pride.

3. Peace: Resolving Conflict, Preserving Brotherhood!!
No development can thrive where there is strife. We will
- We establish and strengthen Atanang Osung Resolution Council to mediate disputes quickly and fairly, before they escalate.
- Work with traditional rulers and youth leaders to promote dialogue over confrontation.
- Make peace education a core part of our youth programs.
4. Development: Tangible Projects for Our People!!
We must move from talk to visible impact.
- Prioritize community projects no matter how little in various areas and create, open and maintain access roads through transparent fundraising and partnership with appropriate bodies.
- Support small business and cooperative schemes for women and youth to reduce unemployment and build economic independence.
- Create an event and projects tracking portal so every member sees how funds are used and what is achieved.

5. Character and Social Behavior: Restoring Our Name!!
Atanang Osung people are known for discipline and integrity. We must protect that reputation. We will
- Launch a “Respect and Responsibility” campaign in schools and communities to curb indiscipline, drug abuse, and antisocial behavior among youths.
- Recognize and reward exemplary Atanang Osung citizens who uphold honesty, hard work, and service to their fatherland.
- Work with religious and traditional institutions to reinforce moral values.

My Pledge to You:

I will lead with transparency, listen before I act, and account for every decision and kobo. This assembly belongs to all of us. My role is to coordinate, not dominate.

Atanang Osung is rising, ECEA is rising!!
With unity of purpose and discipline of action, we can build a community our children will be proud of.

Lawrence Nyong Otoyo, hereby officially declare my intention to contest for the Office of Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Eyotai Consultative & Empowerment Assembly (ECEA).

This decision is driven by my unwavering desire to strengthen communication, promote unity, improve public engagement, and project the true image and values of our Assembly to the public.
