DMI pays courtesy visit to the office of the Chief Economic Adviser to Imo State Government, discusses more milestones with OKOBI
Today, 17th March 2026, the IMSU Branch of DMI Talent Support and DMI Multipurpose Cooperative Societies Ltd paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of Imo State.
The visit was aimed at discussing the milestones achieved by DMI Multipurpose Cooperative Societies Ltd since winning the OKOBI Enterprise Grant last year. We also explored the prospects of establishing the OKOBI Students’ Club in Imo State University, as other tertiary institutions across Imo State are already aligning with the OKOBI Initiative.
Furthermore, we presented copies of Exam Prep, a valuable academic resource co-produced by students in the spirit of the One Kindred, One Business initiative. The project has positively impacted students both academically and financially.
In addition, we were presented with copies of Imo Digest Magazine, Volume 4, Number 1, which featured DMI activities on pages 57 to 59.
Over the past 11 years, DMI has consistently advocated teamwork among young people as a sustainable approach to tackling poverty, creating wealth, and positively impacting society.
We express our sincere gratitude to the Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor, Prof. Kenneth Amaeshi, for the OKOBI Initiative. We also appreciate Mrs. Jovita Agwu, Technical Adviser to the Chief Economic Adviser to the Imo State Government, for the warm reception, guidance, and encouragement.
Together, we shall continue to reposition Imo State on the global map.
