INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY is celebrated on 21 February to underscore the role of languages in promoting inclusion and achieving the SDGs. Multilingual education not only promotes inclusive societies but also aids in preserving non-dominant, minority and indigenous languages. It is a cornerstone for achieving equitable access to education and lifelong learning opportunities for all individuals.

JARS OF CLAY ACADEMY IN CONJUNCTION WITH JACOB’S HOUSE ORPHANAGE CELEBRATED INTERNATIONALLITERACY DAY

Every 8th September the world at large joins hand to celebrate the Literate (Schoolars) who took the pain of schooling and education to invent and invest in the growth, development, leadership and betterment of human life and race.

As a mark of these Celebrations, Jocabs House Orphanage in Conjunction with JAR'S OF CLAY ACADEMY at Orji, Owerri North, Imo State, Nigeria joined force in the celebration of this great day.
The management and staff of Jacob's House Orphange ably led by Rev. Dr. Ibe John mark Bello as well asThe Teachers and Staff of Jars of Clay Academy celebrated this great event.

The Head Teacher of Jars of Clay Academy who spoke to the Pupils while the were gathered together at that time, she futher gave the floor to The basic Four Teacher Uncle Chima Nwosu to speak about the International Literacy Day 2025. Uncle Chima started by As some Questions like
1. Who wants to be a Doctor, Teacher, Engineer etc and the pupils gave their answers in accordance to their desire.

The Basic four Class Teacher Uncle Chima Futher spoke on the Importance of Going to school and Been educated while emphasising that It is only through Education you can be successful in life. The then Ended his speech by letting the children sing a part of the school anthem which says "Hardwork brings Success,
We sing it aloud,
Let the little Children come to me,
We strive with hearts proud" as he gave the floor to the Basic One Teacher Uncle Ben.

Uncle Ben now emphasised on still the importance of celebrating the international Literacy Day saying that it's very good for a child to be literate and Literacy only comes by going to School and listening to your teacher, obeying your teacher and lastly reading your books.

Lastly, The Head Teacher Mrs. Love John mark Ibeh now spoken more on the Reasons while we need to observe the word Literacy Day. She sighted some great scholars in the world and people who through Education changed a lot of things and both in the world and even here in Nigeria mostly the Eastern part of Nigeria. Giving examples like Mary Slessor who stopped the killing of twins.

She finally Thanked The Jocabs House Orphanage for the wonderful contribution to the growth and schooling of Orphanage Children and She joins the management of Jocab House to appeal to the public to Support the Orphanage while saying nothing is too big and nothing is too small, Child care is not and easy task as she encourage and pray God bless the hands that gives and support the Orphanage as the support little Children...
Noting that Little Children are the future of our Country our Nation and the are the leaders and inventors of Tomorrow.
