Daniel did not pray more when trouble came, he prayed as he did aforetime.
“He kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed… as he did aforetime.”
(Daniel 6:10)
Day in. Day out. Even when it could cost him his life. Even when no one was watching.
Joseph did not become pure in Potiphar’s house overnight, he refused daily...(Genesis 39:9)
Jesus did not wait for crowds to pray,
He withdrew often. (Luke 5:16)
Scripture proves this truth:
What God rewards suddenly is usually built consistently.
“Be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.”
(1 Corinthians 15:58)
Many struggle with prayer because they view it as a transaction, asking for things and waiting for receipts. But consistency transforms prayer from a transaction into a relationship.
When you show up to pray every day, even when you are tired, bored, or feel like your words are hitting the ceiling, you are telling God, "I am here because of who You are, not just what I want."
Consistency in study (whether scripture, theology, or academics) acts like compound interest.
Reading three chapters in a panic once a month leaves you with fragments. Reading one chapter a day, every day, builds a fortress of wisdom.
The goal of studying is not just information; it is transformation.
What you do occasionally creates inspiration.
What you do consistently creates results.
Small actions repeated daily will always defeat big actions done randomly.
The enemy of consistency is the craving for instant gratification. We live in a world of "now."
So this year:
Do not wait for motivation.
Do not wait for perfect conditions.
Do not wait for inspiration to strike.
Show up.
Do the work.
Do it daily.
Pray daily.
Study daily.
Fast often.
Do it when no one sees.
Do it when it hurts.
Do it when it is inconvenient.
