“Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.” — 1 Timothy 5:17

With hearts filled with gratitude, honour, and deep emotions, the entire DMGS family gathers to celebrate a father, a mentor, a spiritual guide, and an exceptional leader — Ven. Chigozie Anieto

Your years of service in Dennis Memorial Grammar School were more than administration; they were years of sacrifice, wisdom, discipline, love, and unwavering commitment to raising young men with godly character and excellence. From your days as Chaplain to your impactful tenure as Principal, you planted seeds that will continue to grow for generations.

You were not just a leader in title, but a shepherd who truly cared. Your words inspired, your prayers strengthened, and your leadership transformed lives. The halls of DMGS still echo with the values, standards, and memories you left behind.

Though seasons change and transitions come, one thing remains certain — you will always be a part of the DMGS story. We sincerely miss your fatherly presence, your guidance, your smiles, your corrections, and the passion with which you served God and the school community.

As we gather for this Testimonial Service in your honour, we do so with thankful hearts, celebrating a man who laboured faithfully in service to God and humanity. Indeed, according to the scripture, you are worthy of double honour.

Thank you for the impact.
Thank you for the sacrifices.
Thank you for the memories.
Thank you for serving with excellence.

DMGS will always remember you.

Report on 101st DMGS Founders' Day Anniversary:

The Principal, Rev Dr Chiemezie Ogidi, Members of Staff, Students, Parents and Old Boys held a very successful solemn service at the Chapel of Praise, DMGS Onitsha on Sunday the 25th January 2026, to mark the 101st Founders Day Anniversary of Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha.

The service started at 9:00 AM, and ended at 12:15 PM. The Reader was Pastor Paul Moghalu, while Rev Uchechukwu Nzegwu (Senior Prefect, 2011) preached a thought-captivating sermon on the theme, "The Faith of our Fathers"; anchoring on the 2nd Lesson: Hebrews 11:1-10. Earlier, Dr Sunny Chuba Nwachukwu, PG DOBA Ww took the 1st Lesson: Proverbs 10:1-22. He stood in for Sir Prof Ilochi Okafor (SAN), the Chairman of the School Management Board, who was unavoidably absent. The PTA Chairman, Sir Emeka Taylor-Nwanegbo was in attendance. The joyful parents came in their numbers!

After a well arranged offering/thanksgiving in Houses, the Anniversary Cake was cut/celebrated; and the opportunity was used to support a willful fundraising for purposes of procurement of Media equipment for the Chapel; which was greeted with massive support by happy parents present at the service.

The high-profile DMGS Choir was at their best. The Boys Brigade performed with marching in and out the Colours. Diocesan and DMGS anthems were respectively sang after the Benediction. The service finally ended with Recessional Hymn 271 - God is working His purpose out, as year succeeds to year.
