The Ultimate Destiny Uplifters Foundation (UDUF Africa) commemorated Africa Day 2026 with a remarkable celebration held at the Obosi Town Hall on June 6, 2026. The event brought together community leaders, youths, women groups, students, and stakeholders to celebrate Africa's rich heritage, promote environmental sustainability, and inspire community development.
Africa Day, celebrated annually on May 25, honours the founding of Africa and highlights the continent's cultural heritage, achievements, and aspirations. The 2026 UDUF Africa celebration was themed "The Circular Sanitation Economy: Turning Waste into Valuable Resources Such as Energy, Fertilizer, and Reclaimed Water."
Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Paul Mmuoghalu emphasized the need for society to stop viewing waste as a burden and instead see it as a valuable resource capable of creating economic opportunities and promoting environmental sustainability. He explained that through recycling, reuse, and proper sanitation practices, waste can be transformed into useful products such as fertilizer, energy, and other valuable resources while also protecting public health and the environment.
Speaking during the event, the Founder of UDUF Africa, Dr. Smart C. Ezuma, stated that the celebration was designed to promote African cultural pride, peace, unity, leadership development, and stronger community relationships. He noted that the programme aimed to inspire young Africans to take responsibility for building a better society and called on citizens to embrace responsible waste management and environmental protection.

Nine schools attended the event, with approximately ninety students participating, while eight schools competed in the contest.
