Today, at Bishop Vining Anglican Memorial Primary School, Epe, Ondo State, as part of the ongoing Australian Embassy Direct Aid Program (DAP) project, Rolan Foundation installed a solar-powered classroom equipped with computers and provided street lighting to improve the learning environment for pupils.

We also conducted hands-on training for the pupils, introducing them to basic computer skills and guiding them on how to properly operate and maintain the systems installed. This ensures they are not only beneficiaries of the project but active participants in sustaining it.

This initiative is focused on more than infrastructure it is about empowerment, digital inclusion, and creating a safe and enabling environment for learning.

We remain committed to supporting communities with sustainable solutions that help children learn, grow, and thrive.

Access to clean water and reliable energy can transform lives, especially in underserved communities where these basic necessities are often difficult to maintain over time.

As part of the Australian Embassy Direct Aid Program (DAP) Project, Rolan Foundation conducted a 1-Day Water and Energy Management Committee (WEMC) Training Workshop in Epe Community, Ondo East LGA, Ondo State. The workshop brought together community members to strengthen their capacity to manage and sustain the solar-powered borehole and solar energy systems installed through the project.

Beyond providing infrastructure, sustainable development requires community ownership. Through practical training sessions, participants gained knowledge on the operation, maintenance, and protection of these facilities, while a nine-member Water and Energy Management Committee was established to oversee their long-term management.

For vulnerable households, the continued functionality of these systems means improved access to safe water, reduced time spent searching for water, better health outcomes, and a more reliable source of energy for essential community services.

We are proud to see community members taking ownership of these facilities and committing to their sustainability for future generations. Together, we are building stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities.

As we marked “World Hunger Day” we reflected on the impact the Rolan Foundation has made over the years in addressing food insecurity through our **Feedforward initiative**.

Across our three branches, we have reached hundreds of individuals and families, providing essential food items to help ease the burden of hunger in our communities.

We recognize that hunger remains a serious challenge in Nigeria, with many households still struggling daily to access basic meals. Through our outreach, we have witnessed these realities firsthand and we continue to respond with compassion and action.

Through the Feedforward initiative, we go beyond just food distribution; we stand with people in difficult times, restore hope, and remind them that they are not alone.

As a foundation, we remain committed to doing even more, reaching more people, and expanding our impact across communities in need.

Together, we move closer to a future where no one goes hungry.

For years, families in Epe Community, Ondo State depended on unsafe and contaminated water for their daily survival. Children, women, and families had no choice but to rely on this source despite the health risks.

Today, through the Australian Embassy Direct Aid Program (DAP) in partnership with the Roland Foundation, a solar-powered borehole has been constructed to provide safer and easier access to clean water for the community.

Clean water changes lives, improves health, and restores dignity.

Every community deserves access to safe water. 💧

Looking back on the eye testing and glasses distribution carried out in Abuja

Residents benefited from comprehensive vision screening, eye examinations, and essential eye health support services aimed at detecting and addressing preventable sight challenges early.

Beyond Abuja, this same life-changing initiative was also implemented in Ondo and Oyo States, expanding access to quality eye care and restoring hope across communities.

Across all three states, the programme reached over 1,000 beneficiaries in total reflecting the growing impact of this intervention.

This initiative continues to reflect the commitment of the Rolan Foundation to improving healthcare access and ensuring that no one is left behind when it comes to vision and overall wellbeing.

From Abuja to Ondo to Oyo, the mission remains clear restoring sight, strengthening lives, and serving communities one outreach at a time.
