✨ALUMNI OF THE MONTH✨🎓
Every month, we celebrate alumni whose journeys reflect the values of excellence, growth, and impact beyond the walls of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo. This month, we are proud to spotlight Miss Titilope Mary Oluojo, an Environmental Scientist, researcher, entrepreneur, and proud UNIMED alumna whose work is shaping conversations around environmental sustainability and public health.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Animal and Environmental Biology and a Master’s degree in Environmental Biology and Toxicology, Miss Oluojo has built a career around one important question: How can science help create healthier communities? Through her work in environmental monitoring, research, and data analysis, she is contributing to research that addresses real environmental challenges and their impact on human health.
Her postgraduate research became a turning point in her journey. By exploring the relationship between environmental conditions, water quality, aquatic ecosystems, and public health, she gained the knowledge and research experience that led to a research contract with a healthcare agency, an opportunity she says would not have been possible with her bachelor’s degree alone.

Rather than waiting for opportunities to come to her, she continued to invest in learning, strengthened her research skills, and expanded her professional network. Alongside her career in science, she founded House of TMF, a fashion brand that celebrates modern African fabrics.

What makes her story particularly exciting is that she is only getting started. She hopes to pursue doctoral studies, contribute to environmental and public health through research and evidence-based policy, and mentor more young scientists, especially women, to see research as a space where they can thrive and lead.

If there is one message she hopes every UNIMED student takes away from her journey, it’s this: be intentional about continuous learning. She encourages students to take their research projects seriously, seek mentorship, build meaningful professional relationships, and develop skills beyond the classroom because, in her words, it is the willingness to keep learning that sets people apart.

As we celebrate our Alumni of the Month, we celebrate a young professional who continues to use knowledge, research, and innovation to create impact while inspiring others to embrace every opportunity to learn, grow, and make a difference.

Congratulations, Miss Oluojo! We are proud to celebrate your achievements and look forward to the impact you will continue to make in environmental science, public health, research, and beyond.

Please note that The Prelude, Road to the Inaugural Olusegun Mimiko Distinguished Alumni Lecture has been rescheduled.
