*RAMADAN COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVE*

The Council of Oke-Ogun Visionary Leaders is pleased to announce a new community-focused initiative designed to strengthen trust, promote security awareness, and foster grassroots engagement across Oke-Ogun during the holy month of Ramadan.

This year, beyond the conventional Ramadan lecture, we are introducing a strategic Ramadan Community Engagement Programme where the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of each Local Government in Oke-Ogun or the officer next in command, will personally anchor the engagement session within their respective divisions.

The objective is clear: to use the Ramadan period as an avenue for meaningful dialogue between the Police and the masses. Each session will address one of the prevailing challenges commonly experienced within the divisions, providing practical guidance, promoting civic responsibility, and strengthening cooperation between security agencies and the communities they serve.

As we all know, the Police are partners in progress. This initiative creates an open platform for interaction, understanding, and renewed commitment to peace and public safety.

We are proud to announce that Saki West Local Government will host the maiden edition of this initiative on 25th of this month at Banusho Sango Road Saki. During the Council chapter's courtesy visit to the Police Station, the Divisional Police Officer warmly welcomed the idea, describing it as “exactly what our community needs” a grassroots-driven approach to real and lasting change.
This marks the beginning of a broader movement across Oke-Ogun.

We pray and work toward building an organization that is:

THE COUNCIL OF OKE-OGUN VISIONARY LEADERS (COVL) COMMENDS AHMED RAJI (SAN) OVER CONSTRUCTION OF JAMB CBT CENTRE AND FACILITATION OF FREE JAMB REGISTRATION

The Council of Oke-Ogun Visionary Leaders hereby places on record its profound appreciation and highest commendation to Ahmed Raji (SAN) for his remarkable and transformative contribution to educational development in Oke-Ogun, particularly in Iseyin.

The commissioning and formal handover of the state-of-the-art Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre to the Federal Government through the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Ishaq Oloyede, marks a historic turning point for our region. This singular intervention by Barrister Ahmed Raji (SAN) has permanently changed the academic landscape of Iseyin and its surrounding communities.

Only a year ago, Iseyin had no CBT Centre. Our students were compelled to travel outside the community to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and other computer-based examinations, facing financial burdens, logistical stress, and avoidable risks.

Today, because of the foresight, generosity, and commitment of Ahmed Raji (SAN), that era has come to an end.

Beyond the donation of this critical educational infrastructure, his initiative of sponsoring free JAMB registration for prospective candidates stands as a powerful testament to his passion for youth empowerment. By easing financial constraints and expanding access to tertiary education opportunities, he has invested directly in the future of Oke-Ogun.

It is worthy of note that, separately, the proprietor of SAF Polytechnic has also contributed to educational advancement in Iseyin through the establishment of another CBT Centre within the institution. These parallel efforts collectively reflect a growing culture of private-sector support for education in our community.

However, the CBT Centre facilitated and handed over through Barrister Ahmed Raji (SAN) remains a landmark intervention that catalyzed this new phase of development.

Barrister Ahmed Raji (SAN) has demonstrated that true greatness lies in purposeful impact.

His actions speak of responsibility to heritage, compassion for the younger generation, and unwavering commitment to community progress.

On behalf of the entire Oke-Ogun people, the Council of Oke-Ogun Visionary Leaders celebrates this distinguished son of the soil.

We pray that Almighty Allah continues to enlarge his coast, strengthen his influence for good, and grant him long life in sound health and greater accomplishments.
