HON. AMB. ADEKUNLE AJAYI ABDULLATEEF CELEBRATES TEACHERS IN OWODE WARD 3 AND OBAFEMI OWODE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ON WORLD TEACHERS' DAY 2026

On the occasion of the World Teachers' Day 2026, Hon. Amb. Adekunle Ajayi Abdullateef, Chairman House Committee on Appropriations and Councillor, Owode Ward 3, Obafemi Owode Local Government, has joined millions of well-wishers across the globe to celebrate and appreciate all teachers in Owode Ward 3 and the entire Obafemi Owode Local Government.

In his goodwill message, Hon. Adekunle described teachers as the true builders of the future, whose dedication, sacrifice and invaluable contributions to nation-building cannot be overemphasized.

In his words:

"Today, we celebrate the dedication, sacrifice and invaluable contributions of our teachers — the true builders of our future. Your commitment, patience and passion for knowledge shape brighter minds, stronger communities and a greater Nigeria. You are the heartbeat of a better tomorrow. Thank you for all you do!"

Hon. Abdullateef noted that teachers remain the foundation upon which every other profession is built, stating that their role in educating today’s generation is directly linked to building a greater tomorrow for our communities and the nation at large.

He commended the teachers in Owode Ward 3 and Obafemi Owode for their resilience and selfless service despite challenges, assuring them of his continued support and commitment to policies that will promote education and teachers' welfare in the local government.

He concluded with a prayer for all teachers, that their labour of love will never be in vain and that they will reap the fruits of their hard work in good health and fulfillment.

INDEPENDENCE DAY MESSAGE FROM HON. AMB. ADEKUNLE AJAYI ABDULLATEEF

On this historic occasion of Nigeria's 66th Independence Anniversary, I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to all Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, and most especially to the good people of Owode Ward 3, Obafemi-Owode Local Government and Ogun State at large.

Independence Day is a moment to reflect on the sacrifices, courage and vision of our founding fathers who laid the foundation for a nation built on unity, justice and shared purpose. It is a reminder of how far we have come as a people and how much more we can achieve when we stand together.

As we celebrate 66 years of nationhood, I urge us all to renew our commitment to peace, mutual respect and love for one another, regardless of tribe, religion or political belief. Our strength lies in our diversity and our unity remains our greatest asset.

I pray that Nigeria will continue to enjoy peace, unity, progress and prosperity. Let us collectively work together to build a stronger, more united and more prosperous nation for generations yet unborn.

As we resume another academic session, I heartily welcome all our dear pupils and students in Owode Ward 3 and across Obafemi Owode Local Government back to school.

I wish you all a successful, peaceful, and fruitful new term. To our teachers and school administrators, I commend your dedication and sacrifice. To our parents and guardians, thank you for your commitment to the future of our children.

Education remains the greatest foundation for a brighter future and sustainable development. Every child, regardless of background, deserves equal opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve their God-given dreams.

As Chairman, House Committee on Appropriations, I remain committed to supporting policies and budgetary provisions that will improve learning environments, provide necessary facilities, and ensure quality education for our children.
