What a massively successful widows outreach!!
Black Pumps’ Bridges 2025 is one for the record books. Over 200 widows were provided palliative (rice, bread, oil) and a token 5000 naira per person for Easter. One million naira was awarded to 6 widows (4 200,000 and 2 100,000) as seed capital to start or grow their businesses. The day started with prayers, dancing and eating.
Special thanks to Ogidi Kingdom’s first lady, HRM, Mrs. Onyido for ever so gracefully supporting the widows and being present at every one of these events from inception. Way to lead, M’am! We love you.
Of course, it goes without saying that this will not be successful year after year without our boots on the ground CEOs, Mrs. Oby Uzoka and Mrs. Florence Agudosi and our able volunteers, one even came from London this year. Thank you for all you do for my fellow widows.
