*HON. (DR.) BABATUNDE OYETOLA DIYA RALLIES APC STAKEHOLDERS AS ODOGBOLU CHARTS A UNITED COURSE FOR A RESOUNDING 2027 ELECTORAL VICTORY*
The Executive Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, Hon. (Dr.) Babatunde Oyetola Diya, has reaffirmed the commitment of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Odogbolu Local Government to delivering an overwhelming victory for the party in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the APC Odogbolu Local Government Stakeholders' Meeting held at the party secretariat, Hon. Diya described the gathering as a strategic platform to strengthen unity, deepen grassroots mobilization, and consolidate the progressive ideals that have continued to define the party in the local government.
In his address, the Chairman expressed heartfelt appreciation to all party stakeholders for their unwavering loyalty, dedication, and commitment to the growth of the APC. He also specially commended the INEC Voter Registration Interface Committee for its remarkable efforts in mobilizing eligible voters, noting that the exercise is crucial to the party's electoral success.
Hon. Diya emphasized that Odogbolu Local Government must continue to distinguish itself among the 774 Local Government Areas in Nigeria by recording one of the highest voter turnouts and delivering an impressive number of votes for the APC.
He therefore charged all party leaders, executives, and members to return to their respective wards and intensify mobilization efforts while ensuring that every eligible voter supports all APC candidates across the ballot.
According to him, the party must work collectively to secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for Ogun East Senatorial District; Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) for Governor of Ogun State; Hon. Rasak Daddah for the House of Representatives; and Hon. Lukman Adeleye for the Ogun State House of Assembly, Odogbolu State Constituency.
Delivering the goodwill message of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) and the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate, Alhaja Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun, Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Ogunbanwo, described Odogbolu as the true home of progressives. He stressed that the local government has a historic responsibility to produce an overwhelming electoral victory, particularly as the party's Deputy Governorship Candidate hails from Odogbolu.
He advocated for monthly stakeholders' meetings to sustain political momentum and appealed to every aggrieved member to embrace reconciliation, stating that peace, unity, and collective sacrifice remain the strongest foundation for victory.
The Leader of the Legislative Arm of Odogbolu Local Government, Rt. Hon. Adesoye Akeem Tunde, assured the gathering that all councillors across the fifteen wards are fully prepared to work tirelessly for the success of the party, adding that continuous empowerment initiatives would further strengthen grassroots support.
Speaking on behalf of the ward chairmen, Mr. Owoyale, Chairman of APC Ward Chairmen in Odogbolu Local Government, affirmed that all fifteen ward chairmen are united and ready to deliver victory for the party.
Also speaking, Hon. Ladejobi, the Governor's Liaison Officer, welcomed both old and new members into one united APC family. He reminded party faithfuls that the party remains supreme and urged everyone to place unity of purpose above personal interests. He also emphasized that the party reconciliation process must be on-going even till after the elections.
In his remarks, the former cartaker Chairman, Zonal Leader Leguru I & Secretary to the APC ODLG Elder's forum, Alhaji Idris Lawal, expressed satisfaction with the level of political organization within the party and encouraged members to work together diligently to ensure not only victory but a landslide triumph for the APC.
Hon. (Mrs.) Oyinkansola Cole, assured the leadership that women across the local government are fully mobilized and prepared to deliver massive votes for all APC candidates during the 2027 elections.
Other stakeholders, including Hon. Sikirulahi Okeowo and Rt. Hon. Remi Hazzan, appreciated members for their impressive turnout and reaffirmed their confidence in the strength of the APC in Odogbolu. They emphasized that with unity, effective mobilization, and strategic engagement, the party possesses everything required to secure another historic electoral victory.
The APC flag bearer for the Ogun State House of Assembly, Odogbolu State Constituency, Hon. Lukman Adeleye, thanked party leaders and members for the confidence reposed in him. He acknowledged that every aspirant who sought the ticket was qualified, noting that divine favour ultimately produced him as the party's candidate. He therefore appealed to members to work together and vote massively for all APC candidates, assuring them that he would justify the confidence placed in him.
Akogun Muyiwa Idowu, APC Odogbolu Local Government Party Chairman, and Hon. Tope Tokoya expressed their heartfelt appreciation to all stakeholders for their massive turnout, describing it as the first time in the party's history that members had come out en masse for a stakeholders' meeting. They urged everyone to return to their respective wards, remain united, and continue working together, stressing that "it is not over until it is over."
