The Young Leaders Academy (TYLA) exists to nurture and develop the leadership potential of exceptional teenagers and young adults, empowering them to become the next generation of successful leaders. We provide educational, emotional, mental and spiritual support for teenagers and young adults between the ages of 13 - 23, particularly those identified as possessing leadership traits. We partne

r with secondary schools, A-level colleges, parents/guardians, youth and religious organizations to achieve our aim. TYLA is not a school but an educational and leadership development organization with the sole aim of equipping, empowering and energizing teenagers and young adults to become who God has created them to be. We focus on respect and self worth, inculcating a culture of hard work, academic excellence and civic responsibility. We seek to develop the interpersonal skills of each child, instilling in them self confidence and unlocking their creative flair. Our goal is to instill the tenets of success in our students from an early age and in so doing, create an awareness and understanding of the opportunities that are available to them. We want our young Leaders to become positive role models in their schools, communities and consequently, to go on to be men of influence in their chosen fields. Our ultimate aim is for our young leaders to:
• Accepting self-responsibility: Seeing themselves as the primary cause of their own outcomes and experiences
• Discovering Self-motivation: finding purpose in their lives by discovering personally meaningful goals and dreams.
• Mastering self-management: consistently planning and taking purposeful action in pursuit of their goals and dreams.
• Employing Interdependence: building mutually supportive relationships that help them to achieve their goals and dreams.
• Gaining Self-awareness: consciously employing behaviors, beliefs and attitudes that keep them on course.
• Adopting Lifelong Learning: finding valuable lessons and wisdom in nearly every experience they have.
• Developing Emotional intelligence: effectively managing their emotions in support of their goals and dreams.
• Believing in themselves: seeing themselves as capable, lovable and unconditionally worthy human beings.
