On 10th March 2026, we hosted the Favour Sams Foundation Sensitization Program 2.0, now known as the Power of Choice Movement, at Community Secondary School, Woji, Rivers State.
This program focused on four foundational topics that are critical to the development of young people as they navigate adolescence and early adulthood: personal hygiene, responsible behavior, career prospects, and sexual responsibility.
At Favour Sams Foundation, we believe young minds should learn through awareness, not consequences. While many say experience is the best teacher, experience can sometimes be a very expensive teacher. Our mission is to help young people learn the wise way rather than the hard way, by equipping them with knowledge that guides their decisions.
During the session, students were reminded that life is not shaped by luck or excuses, but by the choices we make every day. They were encouraged to make intentional, responsible, and informed decisions, rather than acting on impulse or external pressures.
The Power of Choice Movement represents the next phase of our work at Favour Sams Foundation. Through this initiative, we are committed to empowering young people with the knowledge, awareness, and confidence they need to make decisions that positively shape their health, character, relationships, and future careers.
By focusing on the power of choices, we are helping to raise a generation of informed, confident, and responsible young individuals who are prepared to build better futures for themselves and their communities.
