The National Association of Borgu Emirate Students (NABES), ABU Zaria Chapter, proudly congratulates Dr. Musa Maijidda Jikantoro on her successful induction into the noble medical profession from the College of medical Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria.
Today, we celebrate more than the induction of a medical doctor,we celebrate the breaking of a barrier, the making of history, and the birth of a legacy.
Dr. Maijidda Jikantoro has etched her name in the annals of Borgu history as the first female medical doctor from Borgu LGA, transforming her personal achievement into a source of inspiration for an entire generation.

After 223 days in captivity, our father Alh. Alhassan Bawa Niworu has been released safely.🥺🙏

All praise and gratitude belong to Allah (SWT) for His mercy, protection, and for answering the prayers of so many. We are deeply grateful to Him for bringing Alh. Alhassan Bawa Niworu back home alive.🥺

To everyone who stood with us in prayer, shared posts, called, sent messages, and kept his name on your lips day and night, thank you. Your prayers, support, and solidarity meant everything. Allah has heard us all.

We continue to pray for the safe release of Barrister Ahmad Lawyer and for every other person still in captivity. May Allah ease their trials and reunite them with their families soon. Ameen.

Toriq Ibrahim Wara, born in the mid-90s in New Bussa, Niger State, is a dedicated young leader and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria alumnus (2018-2024), who studied Local Government and Development Studies. He attended Niffr Staff Primary and Secondary Schools, laying the foundation for his impactful journey. Currently undergoing his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme in the FCT, Abuja, Toriq's passion for community development and leadership is evident.

As President of National Association of Borgu Emirate Students (NABES), Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Chapter (2023/2024), Toriq Ibrahim Wara pioneered initiatives that transformed Nabes ABU Zaria Chapter. He created social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram for the association, increasing the association's visibility to the world. He organized impactful events, including orientation programs for newly admitted students, Ramadan Iftar, and Sallah Picnic, fostering a sense of community. Notably, he launched the NABES ABU Zaria Chapter official T-shirt and organized a groundbreaking Qur'anic Recitation Competition among universities, showcasing his commitment to spiritual growth.

Toriq's leadership also shone through in his organization of a Fire Outbreak campaign, enlightening New Bussa residents on preventive measures, and an Inter-school sports competition, promoting unity among universities. The association's participation in ABUSRC's Cultural Carnival, representing Borgu, earned recognition. He strengthened bonds with patrons, hosting visits during Sallah periods, and interacting with their families.

Awards and recognition followed, including Most Dedicated Exco (NABES ABU ZARIA, 2023), Most Outstanding Exco (NABES ABU ZARIA, 2024), Most Dedicated President (NABES ABU ZARIA, 2024) and the Medal of Devoted Nabesite (NABES ABU ZARIA, 2024). Toriq's previous roles, such as Public Relations Officer, Pioneer Academic Secretary (NABES NHQ), Director of Socials, and Financial Secretary, honed his leadership skills. A Qur'an recitation enthusiast, Toriq is single and committed to community development, inspiring many with his vision and service. His tenure's impact continues to shape Nabes ABU Zaria Chapter's future.
