The Trans & Intersex History Africa (TIHA) Digital Archive is a space where African activists share our archival collections, memories, reflections and facts. It is the first and only record of the histories/herstories/theirstories of our trans, gender diverse and intersex movements on our continent and in the African Diaspora in one archival space. The project includes a timeline of events, contributions include the founding dates of the early trans, gender diverse and intersex organisations/groups, as well as individuals' accomplishments in law and politics, and in sport, art, music and other private domains, along with contributions towards positive change for trans, gender diverse and intersex struggles for our human rights on the African continent and in the African Diaspora.

Amma bambanci ba ya cire mutuncin ɗan Adam.

muna tunawa cewa kowane mutum ya cancanci mutunci, kariya, da girmamawa.

Ba ƙiyayya ce za ta gina al’umma mai kyau ba.

Ba tashin hankali ba ne zai kawo zaman lafiya.

Abin da muke buƙata shi ne fahimta, tausayi, da ɗan Adamci.

Person no suppose suffer because of who dem be.

For Nigeria and many parts of the world,
some people still dey hide,
still dey fear rejection, insults, violence,
simply because dem different.

But being different no remove person humanity.

Today, on International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia,
we remember say everybody deserve dignity, safety, and respect.

No be hate go build better society.
No be violence go bring peace.
Understanding, compassion, and humanity — na wetin we need.

Dreams Liberation believes say every human being deserve chance to live without fear.

Make we choose humanity over hatred.
Make we choose understanding over ignorance.
Because at the end of the day…
we all be human.
