Part 2 from our Elder Abuse Awareness Discussion

Continuing our conversation with Mallam Hassan during our special Inclusion Hour commemorating Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

Family plays a vital role in protecting older persons from abuse. When elders are included in family conversations, respected for their wisdom, and supported with dignity, we create homes where they feel valued not forgotten.

Inclusion begins with the simple acts of listening, involving, and caring for those who have spent years caring for us.

Let’s continue to build families and communities where every older person is treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.

In what ways do you think families can better include and support their elderly loved ones? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
