NASET MOVES TO SUSTAIN COLLABORATION WITH NIGER-SUBEB.

The co-founder of The Farid Centre, Aminat Jummai Gimba who is an executive with Niger State Chapter of NASET, joined a team of executives from The Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET) on a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of NIGER-SUBEB to congratulate him on his appointment and also appraise him on the activities of NASET in Niger State from inception to date.

While receiving the team led by Dr. Zakariyyah Ibrahim who is the State Chairman of NASET at the initial meeting, the N-SUBEB chairman appreciated the delegation and set up a team to help better understand the activities of the association and also look into its future aspirations as regards how to better serve the special needs community in education matters.

The second meeting between the two teams set up by the executive chairman of N-SUBEB took place at the EMIS conference room where the group had the opportunity to brainstorm ideas for strengthening further collaborations.

Dr. Zakari Ibrahim had the opportunity to brief the members and other N-SUBEB Directors present about past activities of NASET both within and outside the state, conferences attended and the upcoming one. He intimated them about the state ambitions of hosting the 2027 conference and emphasized that hosting the NASET conference in Niger State would bring stakeholders together, boost socio-economic activities, and address critical issues.

Hon. Muhammad Mudi, NSUBEB Permanent Member II, applauded the state NASET team for their activities thus far and suggested ways to advance the collaborations. He urged the technical team to write a request letter to NSUBEB Management Team to sponsor Niger State contingents to graciously attend the 2026 NASET conference in Port Harcourt and also hosting rights/Advocacy for 2027 NASET conference in Niger State respectively.

The Executive Chairman of Niger State Universal Basic Education, Dr. Ibrahim Alh. Liman, represented by Hon. Abraham Umar-Monday assured them of a symbiotic partnership to promote inclusive education in partnership with relevant authorities in education development.
