SCHOOL OUTREACH STARTS IN OCTOBER AGAIN

SETTING ACADEMIC GOALS

Setting academic goals means having clear plans for what you want to achieve in your studies. Goals give students direction, keep them focused, and motivate them to work hard. Whether it is improving grades, completing assignments on time, or learning a new skill, having a goal encourages discipline and consistency.

Some good academic goals include improving your grades, studying every day, completing homework on time, reading beyond classroom notes, participating actively in class, asking questions when you do not understand, and preparing well for examinations.

Children and teenagers who set realistic academic goals are more likely to stay organized, manage their time wisely, and overcome challenges without giving up. With determination, discipline, and consistent effort, academic success becomes achievable.

PERSONAL HYGIENE

As girls grow into young women, taking care of their bodies becomes even more important.
Personal hygiene ought to be more than a daily routine,it is to be a lifestyle. Personal hygiene is not only about looking neat but also about protecting the body from germs and infections.

Through this outreach, we had the privilege of educating young girls on proper menstrual hygiene and distributing sanitary pads to support their health.
When young girls are equipped with the right knowledge about personal and menstrual hygiene, they are better prepared to care for themselves and make informed decisions about their well-being.
Simple habits such as maintaining cleanliness, practicing good menstrual hygiene, and caring for their bodies can have a lasting impact on their health .

GRATITUDE
1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Gratitude is the act of being thankful and appreciating the blessings we receive. It is a good habit that helps children and teenagers develop contentment, humility, and respect for others. A grateful person recognizes the kindness of God and appreciates the efforts of parents, teachers, friends, and everyone around them.
Instead of complaining, we should learn to say "thank you" and value every blessing, no matter how small. A grateful heart brings joy, strengthens relationships, and reflects good character.
Therefore, every child and teenager should make gratitude a part of their daily life.

EVERY CHILD HAS GREAT POTENTIAL

Every child is born with unique talents, abilities, and gifts that can grow into something great. No child is useless or without purpose. Each one has the potential to succeed and make a positive impact in the world.
Discovering and developing this potential requires love, guidance, encouragement, and the right environment.

Parents and teachers play an important role in helping children believe in themselves and grow in confidence. When children are supported, taught good values, and encouraged to work hard, they can achieve great things.
Every child should be treated with care, patience, and belief because greatness can be found in every child.

PEER PRESSURE AMONG CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS

Peer pressure is the influence friends or people of the same age can have on one another. Children and teenagers often want to fit in, be accepted, and feel valued by their friends. Because of this, they may sometimes be pushed to do things they would not normally do
Peer pressure can be positive or negative. Positive peer pressure encourages good behavior such as studying hard, obedience, respecting others e.t.c, while negative peer pressure can lead children and teenagers into bad habits such as lying, disobedience e.t.c
Children and teenagers should avoid negative peer pressure by choosing good friends and saying no to wrong actions. They should surround themselves with friends who can encourage good behavior and help them become a better version of themselves.

THE POWER OF WORDS

Words are not just sounds, they are powerful, it shapes how we see ourselves
Teaching our children and teenagers to speak positive words over their lives and surroundings is important because these are the years when identity, confidence and habits are being formed. The way they talk about themselves can shape their confidence and actions
What they consistently say and believe can influence what they become
Positive words help them build a strong sense of self-worth, strengthens their mental and emotional health. It also influences their behavior
It helps them stay focused and gives them the courage to keep moving

Encourage positive speaking in the lives of these young ones
