*In-house handover/Inaugural fellowship of the Rotary club of Mgbuoba (The Rotary Public Image Club)*
*Date: 1st July, 2025.*
The Rotary Club of Mgbuoba had her in-house handover/Inaugural fellowship to usher in the 2025/2026 Rotary year
The fellowship began with the handover of leadership by Rtn (Prof.) Eze Christian Akani (2024/2025 Club President) to Rtn Ifeoma Merit D**e (2025/2026 Club President).
Key Activities:
*Tree planting exercise:*
Upon assumption of office, the club President: Rtn Ifeoma Merit D**e led other Rotarians in the planting of economic trees such as coconut, guava, cashew, orange e.t.c. This action will benefit the environment by combating climate change, improve air quality and preventing soil erosion.
*Unveiling the year calendar :*
The activities for the Rotary year was unveiled to members taking into consideration key district and RI events as well as the monthly designation by RI.
*Unveiling the year community service projects by Service director:*
The club service project director: Rtn Patrick Ogbimi highlighted key projects to be executed by the club in this Rotary year accross Rotary's seven areas of focus and inline with the club community service needs assessment
*RI & District Dues payment strategies by Club Treasurer:*
The Club Treasurer, Rtn (Dr.) Carol John communicated the need for members to pay up their dues and strategies that can enable them pay up Seemlessly.
*Donation in support of the Rotary Foundation:*
Been the first fellowship of the year and it is imperative to support the Rotary foundation, the club foundation director Rtn A.O Peters anchored the donation exercise and all monies donated will be paid into the Rotary Foundation account immediately.
*Assistant Governor Remarks:*
The Club Assistant Governor: AG Akinlabi urged the club to grow her membership by bringing in quality members, carryout impactful service projects jointly with other Rotary club in order to enhance collaboration.
