*Jesus at my Samaria Part 2*

The reference text is from John 4.
Jesus got to the well before the woman.

When you set up a prayer altar or decide to go for a church program. Jesus gets there before you. He is never late, what about you? Will you keep him waiting?

The woman was face to face with Jesus. His disciples were not with him, the woman also came alone at an odd time- at noon.

How do you set up your meetings with Jesus? What time?
Under what atmosphere?
Jesus chose a face to face meeting, when it was only Him and the woman.

Think about your appointments with Jesus? If the environment is not right, you may not get the best fellowship.

John 4:17–18 (NIV)
“I have no husband,” she replied.
Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband. The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.”

The first question was a private question. There are conversations Jesus will not have with you when you are in a church meeting. You need to be alone with him.

Jesus is asking you today, how many husbands/wives do you have?

You must have heard a woman say this is not the man I married or a man say this is not the woman I married.

The issues of life can cause metamorphosis. Producing husbands and wives out of who they were not. But face to face with Jesus can change the story. It can heal wounds in marriages and relationships.

There are young men and woman that have problems of spirit husbands or wives. To them they aren't married but they actually are, with men and women that are not their partners physically.

For some, their husbands or wives is po*******hy. If you visit more than five p**n sites your case maybe worse than the case of the Samaritan woman.

The woman started the conversation with self-righteousness and an argument. Although when she realized that Jesus was at the well to help. She surrendered totally to Him.

Lay it to Jesus today. Let Him help you.

He is at the well to heal, to restore, and to change stories. He will change your story today.

Peace comes in your marriage today. Engagements today.
Deliverance from afflictions and addictions.
IN JESUS NAME!

Amen!

Jesus and the Samaritan Woman.
Part 1

John 4:11
“Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water?”

The Well
Your well is a place you go for survival.
Water gives life so the Samaritan woman goes there often. She also testified that since the time of Jacob the whole community depended on it.
When Jesus offered to give her water, she said:
= The well is deep
= You have nothing to draw the water.

The Well of Life
The well of life (resources, opportunities etc.) is very deep.

The substances to draw water (Job, education, God~father, marriage, good look, etc.) are not easy to get.
Even when you have them, you struggle to get the water because THE WELL IS DEEP.

Jesus’ Response
Jesus told her, my kind of water doesn’t come from a deep source.
You don’t need anything to draw the water.
When you drink, it’s once for a lifetime.
The woman said: “Whaoo, I love to have this water, so that I don’t have to struggle again.”

"May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the spirit fellowship of the Holyspirit be with you all". - 2 corinthians 13:14

The water Jesus gives is grace. It is free of charge. It asks for no struggles, it sustains life, it heals, it comforts and it is everlasting.

When you are face to face with Jesus. As did the woman at the well you receive grace.
God is the custodian of grace. He gives grace through Jesus Christ and the Holyspirit(John 3:16). When you have Jesus and the Holyspirit through the father, you recieve grace. You have the water of life in abundance and you never have to thirst again.

For this, two things are required of you.

1. Face to face with Jesus(constant fellowship with Him).
2. Exchange: give Him your water in exchange for His own.

There shall be no more struggles for you as you hand over all your struggles to Him in Jesus Name, amen.

‎Why God humbles His own.

‎ Deuteronomy 8: 3-5 NIV

‎ _“He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD._

‎ _Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during this forty days._
‎ _Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your GOD disciplines you."

‎When He humbles, but for a purpose

‎• There may be hunger.
‎• You may not get what you desired but he will not allow you to be stranded.
‎• You may see strange things, “manna.”
‎• “Your clothes” will not wear out (even for 40 years).
‎• He takes charge of your health and reputation.

‎However, the reason for the humbling process is “PURPOSE."
‎That you may know that life is not just about what to eat, changing of clothes, cars and houses...
‎Purpose is _“... every word that comes_ _from the mouth of the LORD."_ Every word, not some words. His Will is primary while yours is secondary.

‎The Israelites were tempted in the wilderness for 40 years (Deuteronomy 8:4) , Jesus was tempted in the wilderness for 40 days (Matthew 4:1), Abraham was tempted in the wilderness on a three days journey (Genesis 22:4).

‎Where do you want to be tempted? In a palace? Who determines when and how? My SOD teacher said: God and Satan

‎The most interesting part is that you may never know when you are experiencing the temptation. The awareness comes on the day you are presented with the result.

‎You are tempted with what you cherish. Jesus was hungry, he had power and authority- so he was tempted with food and fame. God created hunger for the Israelites- _“He humbled you, causing you to_ _hunger.”_ He tempted Abraham with his greatest asset “Isaac.”

‎If you have a career or business- good tool of temptation, if you have husband or wife, your marriage may be the tool. If you have enough to eat, he may create hunger for you, if you have great friends and loyalists, betrayal may be a good tool.

‎Beloved, the good news is if you pass a wilderness experience, you are promoted.

‎ I pray you will not fail

‎ Proverbs 24:10 (KJV)
‎ _“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small."_

MY MESSAGE LAST SUNDAY

2nd Corinthians 10:3-6 declares, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”

INTRODUCTION

Do Not War After the Flesh

The above scripture reveals that though we live in a transactional world. Give or take by words and other forms of interactions but when it comes to "battle" which is fighting for your life or something, our attitude should be different.

As believers, we should not face our enemies to fight by words of mouth or attitudes (actions), same way our reactions to personal attacks shouldn't be by negative emotions such as fear, evil imaginations, self defeat, etc.
The reason is because "...the weapons of our warfare are not carnal" that is, not fleshy, it cannot be measured in the physical dimension.

However, if you fall in any of the categories below, brethren, you are in the wrong:

1. Quick to reply according to the wisdom of this world

2. Your attitude goes ahead of you.

3. Being Judgemental.

4.Even when you pray, you are incharge by always telling God what he should do.

5..You must say the last word.

6..You are not willing to endure shame for the sake of Christ ( I choose to be quiet not because I don't know what to say).

Note that, our battle field is in the mind. In prayers we attack imaginations whereby we settle the attacks before they are fully formed. Which is why, we engage the spirit of Christ in us to dismantle strongholds.

Futhermore, the physical combats if it would produce any effect, will only be superficial. If a stronghold is involved, issues will always sprout but in the spiritual arena we “pull down strongholds.”

Therefore, the weapons of our welfare are mighty through the word of God, prayers and the instrument of faith.

Psalms 55:22
“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
