I was deeply honoured to attend the Book Launch and Public Presentation of Governor Uba Sani, CON, Legacy Projects at the historic Barewa College, Zaria, where I had the privilege of serving as Guest Speaker and representing the Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Ph.D., GCON.
For me, the occasion went beyond the presentation of a book. It was a meaningful reflection on the essence of public service: the responsibility to translate public trust into tangible development, improve the lives of citizens, and leave behind institutions and projects that last beyond individual tenures in office.
I therefore re-echo my commendation of Governor Uba Sani for the developmental strides recorded under his administration. The projects documented in the publication speak to the importance of purposeful leadership, continuity and a deliberate commitment to meeting the needs of the people. As public servants, occasions such as this remind us that leadership is not only measured by intentions, but by the positive and lasting impact of our service to society.
I left Zaria with a renewed appreciation of the privilege and responsibility of public service.
As the 2027 elections approach, I believe the conversation must remain firmly anchored on records, development, accountability and the capacity of political leaders to sustain progress. On this basis, citizens should make informed choices that reflect their aspirations for Kaduna State and Nigeria.
