Today History is made. Benue State has joined other 26 States to become a member of Civil society for Scaling Up Nutrition in Nigeria. RACSI Executive Director was elected the State Coordinator of the Benue Chapter.
From my right is Dr Kunle of CS-SUNN, my humble self, the Deputy Coordinator Dr Priscilla Utoo, behind her is the Programme Officer Mr Ambrose CS-SUNN, in the middle is Dr Terfa Kene, a BOT member CS-SUNN, next to him is the General Secretary Dickson Martins Odeh,besides him is Joy Ijuwo, the Financial Secretary and David Mishin PRO. We pray for Wisdom and humility in Service and God's grace.
We are proud to join hands with others to fight Malnutrition, poor Breastfeeding Practices and advocate to Government at all levels to establish Nutrition Departments in line MDAs and increase Nutrition budget and ensure release, so that the impact will be felt at Community level. We solicit support from all relevant Stakeholders to advocate for increased Maternity leave for Breastfeeding mothers from 3 months to 6months to enhance effective Exclusive Breastfeeding from birth to 6months. This we pray oo Benue.

RACSI earlier on, represented BENGONET in a training for CSOs in Abuja for 16 States of the Nation on Human papiloma Virus Vaccine introduction into Nigeria's EPI Schedule, and step down the training in Makurdi for other BENGONET members. 60 persons attended and participated actively .
The CSOs will now go to Communities and Schools to mobilize parents and Caregivers to take their GIRLS 9-14 years to be vaccinated at the nearest Health Facility to them, Schools, Worship houses and Markets. The Vaccine is free and very effective in the prevention of Cervical Cancer. 'tbeleftout
