YOU CAN SUE ANYBODY IF THEY DO THIS TO YOU..Know Cybercrime Act today
Many a person doesn't know that he or she will be sued for sharing information online. If anyone does any of the followings to you, you can sue such a person because Cybercrime Act got you covered.
1. Posting false information: Sharing lies or fake stories online to harm a person’s name or business is an offence.
2. Threatening messages: Sending messages that threaten harm, kidnapping, or death is a serious cybercrime. Be it direct message, through posts or comments, you can take legal actions against such a person.
3. Impersonation: Creating or using an account to pretend to be someone else in order to deceive others is illegal. If someone impersonates you and you take legal actions, such a person will face the legal tango. Content creators now faced higher rate of impersonation. They impersonate them to scam unsuspecting members of the public.
4. Sharing private content without consent: Posting someone’s private photos, videos, or chats without permission is punishable by law. If you chat someone maybe asking for their help, toasting them as most girls nowadays screenshot your chats and share to shame you, just hire a lawyer and the law will do its duty.
5. Online fraud or scams: Using social media to trick people into sending money or personal details is a criminal offence. If you negotiate meeting with a lady or man, she or he tricks you to send money and they eventually fail to show up, sue such a person especially when you have your evidence and transaction details.
6. Cyberstalking or harassment: Repeatedly disturbing, insulting, or intimidating someone online can lead to arrest. If someone does such to you and you are sure they are not saying the truth you can sue them for defamation.
7. Inciting violence or hatred: Posting content that encourages violence, ethnic hatred, or unrest is prohibited.
8. Blackmail or extortion: Demanding money or favors by threatening to expose information online is a crime.
9. Fake emergency or security alerts: Spreading false panic messages about attacks or disasters is an offence under the law.
10. Dragging people online because they default. If someone post your picture, dragging you in the name of you defaulted in debit, business agreement, you can sue such a person for disparaging your hard earned image except you both agreed that if defaulted, you will be posted online and you okayed the agreement.
Never go the legal tango because ignorance is not an excuse.
