The Plastic Community Project II took its Campaign to Golden College, Yagba, North Bank.

The Team sensitized students on how to REFUSE single-use plastics, REUSE, and RECYCLE them, instead of indiscriminately dumping them and causing severe environmental hazards ♻️

To empower the students and promote sustainability, we introduced an innovative exchange where students will collect plastic and sachet
water waste, which will serve as currency for packs of sanitary pads to support girls during their menstrual cycle. 🌍💚

Waste To Wealth. Plastic To Pads.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, NIGERIA! 🇳🇬 @ 66

Today we celebrate freedom, resilience, and hope.

At DevTrain, we believe true independence comes when young people have the skills to build their own future and transform their communities.

As Nigeria marks 66 years, we remain committed to youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.

Let's keep building the Nigeria we all want to see — one skill, one community at a time.

Happy Independence Day from all of us at DevTrain 💚

Plastic Community Project II

Earlier today, the P*P II team held a Beat Plastic Pollution Campaign at Judson Global Academy, Yagba, Makurdi

The session sought to inspire students to turn off the plastic waste tap by imbibing reuse, repurpose, refuse ane recycle plastic materials in order to reduce their damaging impact on the environment

To further empower the girls—who often face significant challenges during their menstrual periods—the team introduced an innovative solution: "Waste for Pad"- a solution targeted to supporting adolescent girls collect plastic and polythene waste and exchange it as currency for sanitary pads, ensuring they have the support they need throughout their cycle.

DevTrain Volunteers Academy (DVA) Cohort XIV concludes Weekend Training

On Friday, 25th September 2026, DevTrain Volunteers Academy concluded its weekend training programme with the Cohort XIV fellows.

The session featured individual facilitation by each volunteer, who was assigned a specific Behavioural Competency to present. This exercise was designed to develop and assess their facilitation skills, building upon the facilitation techniques module previously covered in the programme.

Through this practical application, volunteers were afforded the opportunity to demonstrate their competencies, receive structured feedback, and further strengthen their capacity as facilitators.

DevTrain Volunteers Academy (DVA) Fellowship Programme remains committed to equipping its volunteers with the skills required for effective facilitation and professional development.
