SUMMARY
Domain Youth Association is a socio-cultural and socio-political youth organization aimed at pursuing and strengthening youth activities and cooperation among its members in accordance with the provisions of the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and embarks on programmes that promote youth involvement and participation in in the democratic governance. With a view of involving youth t
o play active roles to influence decision making in our society and as well as prepare them for future leadership, the programmes are geared towards strengthening their sense of belonging as active citizens of Benue State and Nigeria at large. Domain Youth Association shall aimed at contributing to the development of youth through qualitative education, skill and vocational training, and youth empowerment in the broader sense and helps youth to develop a sense of solidarity and mutual understanding among them. To be recognized as the premier provider of unity amongst the Youth of Domain Community Makurdi and Benue State at large. Furthermore, Domain Youth Association (DYA) will strive to be the foundation umbrella for youth to participate and benefit from Government, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and International Organizations youth’s empowerment programmes. Domain Youth Association (DYA) will also strive to provide an umbrella for Youth participation in the democratic and political life of out great country Nigeria. MISSION
Domain Youth Association (DYA) will exist to equip Youth to develop a deeper sense of understanding of the present challenges in the 21st century Benue and Nigeria at large, and as well, encourage Youth in uplifting their relationship with Government and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and empower their life changing relationship among them and the policy-maker (elders) of Domain Community in particular and the Benue society at large. In partnership with Government and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), both at the Local, State, National and International levels; Domain Youth Association (DYA) will engage a huge number of Youth in the Domain Community, Benue State under its care and provide a platform that will train and empower them to live independently and democratically in accordance with the provisions of the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and as well, promote Peace, Unity, Solidarity, Progress and Integrity among the Youth and Elders of Domain Community and the Benue society at large. DYA will be an engaging and welcoming community for its Youth and their friends that will be visiting and staying. It will create an enabling community that;
1) Surrounds them with an unconditionally love and fosters genuine relationships among them;
2) Anchors them in the joys and traditions of the great people of Domain; and
3) Energizes and equips them to extend the love to their neighboring youth from other communities. PREAMBLE
The youth in Nigeria is in despair, our time has been dangerously enveloped by uncertainty and there appear to be a bleak future for the youth. Our parents and leaders have lost the firm grip of the ship of the State and Nigeria at large, indiscipline has become the legal constitution of the Nigerian nation. The Nigerian youth in his or her inexperience has to do something aimed at restructuring and redirecting the spirit of the Nation for a better future,. Consequently, we the Members of Domain Youth Association (DYA) having been desirous of coming together to work in unity and harmony, and cooperate for the protection of the general interests of all the youth in all ramifications and to present a common front for the combat of individualism, nepotism, tribalism, racism, moral decadency etc. among the youth and to provide a Constitution to guide us in achieving these aims and objectives, resolved to make, enact, ordain and establish this Constitution.
