🌶️ The ACS JOSTUM Student Chapter joined the global ACS community to celebrate National Chemistry Week 2025 with the theme “The Hidden Life of Spices.” 🎉 Held on Friday, October 31st, 2025 at the Seminar Room, Professorial Building, the event explored the fascinating chemistry behind spices—their composition, aroma, color, and health benefits. Participants enjoyed exciting hands-on activities, spice talks, and vibrant displays linking everyday kitchen ingredients to real-world chemistry applications in food, medicine, and cosmetics. 🧪✨ The lively celebration reflected the chapter’s creativity, teamwork, and passion for promoting chemistry awareness through engaging science outreach. 👩🔬👨🔬

We had an inspiring 2025 send-forth celebration in honor of our graduating students!
The event wrapped up with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the Chapter President, Emmanuel Ali, appreciating the faculty advisors, alumni, and all attendees for their support and dedication. 🙌ces, building resilience, and practising self-care to thrive beyond school.
Our first keynote speaker, Dr. Oyedele Akinjola, spoke on “Coping with Postgraduate Stress.” He shared practical stress-management tips, including a simple breathing exercise to ease tension.
The outgoing Vice President, Mr. Francis Sylvester, gave a powerful talk on “Drug Abuse,” urging everyone to stay drug-free for a healthier future.
An uplifting goodwill message came from alumni representative, Mr. Joshua Imanche, who encouraged everyone to stay focused, trust God, and plan their careers with purpose.
Certificates were presented to the graduating students, and final announcements followed.
The event wrapped up with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the Chapter President, Emmanuel Ali appreciating the faculty advisors, alumni, and all attendees for their support and dedication. 🙌
We celebrate our graduates and wish them success as they step into the next chapter of life! 💫
