ICEVS ADVOCACY VISIT TO THE BUREAU OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION & DEVELOPMENT BENUE STATE.

The ICEVS team paid an advocacy visit to the office of the Director General, Bureau of International Cooperation and Development in Makurdi, Benue State. During the engagement, we shared the vision, mandate, and key focus areas of ICEVS, and discussed how our work aligns with the Bureau’s goal of attracting and coordinating international development support for marginalized communities in the state.

The meeting established a strong foundation for future collaboration, with both parties agreeing to partner on programs, resource mobilization, and joint advocacy to drive sustainable development in Benue.

New week. New opportunities to be kind to yourself.
You don't have to have it all figured out today. Progress isn't measured by perfection, it's measured by showing up, one day at a time.
Have a peaceful and productive week ahead. 💙

Have you ever replayed a conversation over and over in your head? Or felt like no one would understand what you're trying to explain?

While some of the words in this post were coined by writers rather than psychologists, they beautifully capture emotions many people experience but struggle to describe.

Sometimes, simply knowing there's a word for what you're feeling can remind you that you're not alone.

💙 Which one resonated with you the most? Tell us in the comments.

Sometimes the loudest voice in our lives isn't another person, it's our own mind.

When we've experienced repeated stress, rejection, or difficult life events, our brains become better at spotting possible threats.

While this can help keep us safe, it can also make everyday situations feel more frightening than they really are.

Recognizing that these thoughts are a protective response, not necessarily the truth, is an important step toward better mental well-being.

You don't have to believe every thought your mind produces.
