BENUE STATE CONTINGENT RECORDS VICTORY AT HADIZA IBRAHIM ALIYU SCHOOLS FESTIVAL (HIASFEST) 2026

The Benue State contingent of the Hill-Top Creative Arts Foundation Branch emerged victorious at the prestigious Hadiza Ibrahim Aliyu Schools Festival (HIASFEST 2026), held in Minna, Niger State.
EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE
The contingent was led by Hassana Idris (Chairperson) alongside the Director of Education Support Services, Teaching Service Board (TSB) Headquarters, Makurdi, Benue State.
Participating schools included:
Government Girls’ College, Makurdi
Government Secondary School, 72 Barracks, North Bank, Makurdi
Tilley Gyado College, North Bank, Makurdi
ACHIEVEMENTS
The contingent recorded outstanding successes, including:
1st Position – Contemporary Songs
1st Position – Nigerian Prize for Teen Authors (Poetry Category)
2nd Position – Spoken Word
2nd Position – Best Performing Branch in Nigeria (Benue State)
3rd Position – Spoken Word
3rd Position – Nigerian Prize for Teen Authors (Prose Category)
Winner – Golden Award for Arts Administrator in Nigeria (Female Category)
Winner – Nigerian Prize for Indigenous Languages (Pidgin)
