As part of it's stakeholder engagement, Hand-in-Hand Empowerment Initiative paid an advocacy visit to the esteemed palace of the Shehu of Borno, HRH, Dr. Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi.

During the visit, His Royal Highness warmly received the delegation, expressed strong encouragement for the organization’s resilience and dedication to supporting vulnerable communities, and assured Hand-in-Hand Empowerment Initiative of his support and royal backing in advancing humanitarian and community development efforts across Borno State.

His Royal Highness further expressed his happiness and appreciation for being considered worthy of the organization’s visit, describing the engagement as a gesture of mutual respect and shared commitment to the welfare of the people.

Hand-in-Hand Empowerment Initiative was delighted to receive the Coordination Team from UNOCHA, represented by Mr. Ibrahim Barry and Mr. Mustapha Ballama, during a familiarization visit to our office.

Hand-in-Hand Empowerment Initiative supported the supervision of the Integrated SIA Measles, Rubella, and HPV Vaccination Campaign in Konduga LGA — covering Auno Ward (Mainari, Gumuri C, and Shehu Settlement) as well as Pompomari Lawanti 007, Bulama Kachallah, and Bulama Konto.

Our team visited Galatimari Mafoni, Jere LGA, Borno State, to create awareness among pupils on the dangers of unexploded devices.
The pupils were sensitized on the importance of not touching or picking up any strange objects they did not place themselves, as such items could be dangerous.
They were encouraged that if they see anything suspicious that looks like a bomb or explosive, they should immediately report to their head teacher or parents.
Together we can build a safer and more informed community.

The purpose of the visit was to seek their blessings guidance and wise counsel as we continue to implement humanitarian and development activities within the state. We were warmly received and deeply encouraged by their kind words and assurance that their doors will always remain open to us. HAND-in-HAND EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE has successfully drilled and installed a solar-powered borehole of 70 meters deep and the construction of a 1 meter tank stand to support a 3000 litres storage capacity Geepee tank .The project is located at Bayo LGA Borno State Briyel ward. This project brings safe and clean water closer to the community easing the burden of water scarcity and promoting better hygiene and health.

Due Diligence Visit by EMF Plan International and OCHA Team. As part of the preparation for the upcoming Capacity Development Program the EMF Plan International and OCHA team conducted a due diligence visit to HAND-in-HAND EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE.
The exercise provided an opportunity for the team to review our structures policies and ongoing activities in line with global humanitarian standards. It also served as a platform to discuss our organizational strengths identify areas for growth and explore how best we can maximize the benefits of the Capacity Development Program.
We appreciate the EMF Plan International and OCHA team for their guidance and valuable insights which will go a long way in strengthening our institutional capacity and enhancing the quality of services we deliver to the communities we serve.
HAND-in-HAND EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE remains committed to accountability transparency and partnership as we continue to empower communities and create lasting impact.

Courtesy Visit to NEMA

HAND-in-HAND EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE recently paid a familiarization visit to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA)
During the meeting we shared our projects and activities and highlighted the impact we are making in our communities.
The NEMA team appreciated our efforts and contributions and also took time to explain the mandate and roles of the agency. The Director further advised us on ways to strengthen collaboration for greater humanitarian impact.
It was indeed a very interactive and insightful session and we look forward to building a strong partnership with NEMA towards empowering communities and saving lives.
