Through the EU-Support for the Disengagement, Deradicalization, Reintegration and Reconciliation of Persons Formerly Associated with Non-State Armed Groups (SD3R) Project, Allamin Foundation for Peace and development, with support from the United Nations Development Programme - UNDP and the European Union in Nigeria , commissioned four newly drilled boreholes across four communities and launched a Tree Planting Campaign aimed at addressing the effects of climate change.

The projects were officially commissioned by the Executive Chairman of Bama Local Government Area, Hon. Babagana Barma.

Implemented in collaboration with the Borno State Agency for the Great Green Wall, the initiative reflects a shared commitment to community development, environmental restoration, and sustainable peacebuilding.

Allamin Foundation for Peace and Development conducted a community engagement and sensitization session in MMC through its Community Advocates for Transitional Justice (CATJ) under the project “Healing and Hope: Community-Based Deradicalization of Children Affected by Conflict in Borno State.” with support from International Civil Society Action Network - ICAN

The engagement brought together key stakeholders, including religious leaders, traditional leaders, women leaders, youth leaders, school teachers, Islamiyya teachers, opinion leaders, and other community members.

The session aimed to raise awareness on the importance of community-driven approaches to deradicalization, promote acceptance and reintegration of conflict-affected children, strengthen trust and collaboration among community members, and encourage collective responsibility in fostering peace, social cohesion, and resilience within the community.

Courtesy Visit to the Director General, Borno State Agency for the Great Green Wall.
The visit focused on strengthening collaboration on the Foundation’s SD3R Project in Bama and Gwoza, aimed at combating desert encroachment, with support from the European Union, United Nations Development Programme, and the Borno State Government.

Allamin Foundation for Peace and Development organized a training for members of the Jire Dole Network on reporting and documentation, with support from Amnesty International. The training aimed at strengthening participants’ capacity to effectively document, report, and communicate human rights issues, community concerns, and reintegration efforts.

It also focused on enhancing skills in accurate data collection, and the use of documentation as a tool for advocacy, accountability, and promoting peacebuilding initiatives within their communities.

With support from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) through the Integrated Security Fund (ISF) under the Nigeria Security and Regional Resilience (NiSRR) Programme, Allamin Foundation for Peace and Development conducted an endline survey and focus group discussions (FGDs) on strengthening capacities and commitment for a survivor-centered, gender-inclusive transitional justice and reconciliation project in Borno State.

The discussions aimed to gather participants’ perspectives on the changes observed since the project’s inception, particularly in relation to peace, security, social cohesion, and reintegration. They also sought to assess how leaders and institutions are responding to the needs of women, girls, survivors, and conflict-affected families. Episode 17 of the live radio programme featured the Chairman of the Community Advocates for Transitional Justice (CATJ) in Jere LGA, Borno State, Mallam Abubakar Ibrahim; Hajia Kaltume Ja’afar, a member of the Community Women Mediators Forum (COWOMF); and Hajia Falmata Abdulkadir (COWOMF).

The discussion focused on how CATJ and COWOMF members conduct outreaches, referrals, and community mobilization support, as well as the results achieved.

The programme was held under the EU-supported Disengagement, Review, Reintegration, and Reconciliation with Persons Formerly Associated with NSAGs in Borno State (SD3R) Project.
