POWER Project Milestone:
Livelihood support has reached 208 beneficiaries across five wards—Banjiram, Bobini, Chikila, Dukul, and Guyuk, Adamawa State.
Support included 77 farming, 39 home gardening, 57 livestock, and 15 poultry packages.
To ensure health, productivity, and sustainability for the livestock and poultry interventions, local community Paravets were empowered to provide ongoing veterinary support.
20 beneficiaries also received enterprise support in soap making and tailoring.
Packages were tailored using vulnerability assessments to match household needs, skills, and local opportunities.
The intervention aims to strengthen income generation, food security, economic empowerment, and household resilience.
This milestone was achieved through the collaboration of project teams, community leaders, and local stakeholders.

World Breastfeeding Week 2026 | Strengthening Healthy Beginnings
As part of the World Breastfeeding Week 2026 commemoration, Concern for Women and Children Development Foundation (COWACDI), with support from the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF) and in collaboration with the Borno State Government, conducted community awareness and sensitization activities in Abbaganaram Community, Jere LGA, and Dala Community, MMC, Borno State.
Guided by this year's theme, "Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works," the campaign emphasized the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, maternal nutrition, family support, and community involvement in giving every child the healthiest possible start in life.
Through community engagement and awareness creation, we continue to promote informed health practices that improve child survival, maternal well-being, and stronger, healthier communities.
Together, let's strengthen what works and invest in a healthier future for every mother and child.

Concern for Women and Children Development Foundation (COWACDI), in partnership with the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF), proudly celebrated the graduation of 50 beneficiaries who successfully completed skills acquisition training designed to strengthen women's livelihoods and promote sustainable income generation. Each participant was given a certificate and the sum of N100,000.
This milestone reflects our commitment to empowering women with practical skills, fostering self-reliance, and creating opportunities for resilient communities across Borno State.
Congratulations to all the graduates! Your determination and hard work are paving the way for brighter futures, stronger families, and more prosperous communities.

Concern for Women and Children Development Foundation (COWACDI) successfully conducted a one-day Capacity Building and Disability Inclusion Training for staff and Community Nutrition Mobilizers (CNMs).
