🌍 World Day Against Child Labour 2026

Every child deserves more than survival—they deserve dignity, education, protection, and the full opportunity to reach their potential.

The 2026 theme, “Accelerating Action to End Child Labour: Dignity and Full Potential of Every Child,” is an urgent call to move beyond commitments into concrete, measurable action. It reminds us that ending child labour requires stronger systems, community vigilance, and sustained investment in children’s rights, education, and wellbeing.

At the Concern for Women and Children Development Foundation (COWACDI), we reaffirm our commitment to protecting vulnerable children, strengthening community awareness, and promoting access to safe education for every childfree from exploitation and harm.

We believe that when children are protected from labour and supported to learn, society builds a stronger, more just, and more resilient future.

Let’s act now. Not tomorrow. Not later.

Democracy thrives when every voice is heard, every right is protected, and every citizen has the opportunity to contribute to national development.

As Nigeria commemorates Democracy Day 2026, COWACDI celebrates the resilience of our democratic journey and reaffirms its commitment to promoting inclusive governance, human rights, gender equality, child protection, and community participation.

A stronger democracy is built when women, children, youth, and vulnerable populations are empowered to participate meaningfully in decision-making processes that shape their future. Let us continue to uphold the values of justice, accountability, peace, and equal opportunity for all.

Together, we can build a Nation where every citizen's voice matters and every child can grow in a safe, equitable, and prosperous society.

Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria!
