As climate challenges continue to threaten livelihoods and ecosystems, the responsibility to protect, restore, and sustainably manage our environment rests with all of us. We are pleased to formally announce the transition of our organization’s name from Climate Vanguards Initiative to Climate Justice & Resilience Development Initiative (CJRI).

This change reflects our renewed vision and strengthened commitment to climate justice, resilience, and sustainable community development.

World Cleanup Day 2025 was nothing short of inspiring at UNIMAID! 🌍✨

Through our Green Sweep Initiative, and in collaboration with CAYEI, Breath with Green Youth Development Initiative, and The Climate Vanguards Initiative, we came together with passionate volunteers to give our campus a fresh breath.

Together, we collected around 200 kg of waste, from plastics to textiles, filling up 10 heavy refuse bags. Beyond just cleaning, this action was a powerful reminder of the pressing challenge of textile and fashion waste, and the role we all have to play in addressing it.

A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who rolled up their sleeves and made this possible. Your energy and commitment are shaping a more sustainable and responsible campus community.🌱

Let’s keep the momentum alive, because small acts lead to big change!
