Strengthening Partnerships for Better Nutrition Outcomes in Monguno LGA
Today, UNICEF Nigeria's Nutrition Sector Chief, Nemat Hajeebhoy, alongside the Maiduguri Field Office Nutrition Manager, Joseph Senesie, and a Nutrition Specialist, paid a working visit to Monguno LGA to engage with government stakeholders and nutrition partners on the implementation of nutrition services.
The visit focused on strengthening coordination, reviewing ongoing nutrition interventions, and identifying practical ways to improve access to quality nutrition services for children, women, and adolescents affected by malnutrition. The delegation also visited selected Outpatient Therapeutic Programme (OTP) sites, a Stabilisation Centre (SC), and a Community Support Group to assess service delivery and community-based interventions.
Our Liaison and Partnership Officer, Musa Muhammad Dikwa, proudly represented aid for Sahel Children Foundation (ASCF). During the engagement, ASCF and UNICEF held fruitful discussions on sustaining and strengthening their collaboration, reaffirming their shared commitment to improving nutrition outcomes and supporting vulnerable communities in Monguno LGA.
At ASCF, we remain committed to working with government and development partners to build healthier, more resilient communities.
