GEPaDC, in collaboration with the GBV Sub-Sector, UNFPA, and the Borno State Ministry of Women Affairs, successfully concluded this year’s "Orange the World" commemoration of the 16 Days of Activism with a vibrant celebration of International Human Rights Day. The grand event, held at Armani Event Center, Maiduguri, was a remarkable success, drawing an impressive turnout of colleagues, civil society organizations, and government stakeholders.
The recreational closing ceremony was filled with exciting and meaningful activities, including a spirited female football match, creative paint-and-sip sessions, powerful poetry performances, and more. These activities not only showcased the talents and resilience of women and girls but also emphasized the importance of collective action in the fight against gender-based violence (GBV).
GEPaDC extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants, partners, and supporters who made this event unforgettable. Your unwavering commitment and collaboration are critical to advancing the cause of gender equality and development.
As the 16 Days of Activism come to a close, GEPaDC reaffirms its dedication to ending violence against women and girls and pledges to continue championing this cause throughout the year. Together, we can achieve a future free from GBV.
