Today, we celebrate those who choose to walk into places where others are forced to run away.

They show up in moments of crisis, uncertainty and need-not because the journey is easy, but because humanity calls.

For every humanitarian worker, every journey to the field is a journey toward someone who needs help.

We honor their courage, compassion and sacrifices, and we will never take their commitment to humanity for granted.

Partnership is not just about working together-it is about growing together.

One of the greatest benefits of our partnership with Street Child of Nigeria is the opportunity to learn, relearn, and strengthen our capacity from one another.

On Wednesday, we were privileged to host Mrs. Grace Zoaka, Compliance Officer, Street Child of Nigeria (Borno state branch), whose expertise and guidance provided valuable insights not only for our HR operations but also across other organizational processes.

Their smiles tell a story of learning, confidence, and hope.

Women in Kwanan Yobe Community, Jere LGA, Borno State, participated in a skills acquisition training on liquid soap production under our NHF-funded project, led by Street Child of Nigeria.

Beyond improving hygiene at home and in the community, the skill offers an opportunity for the women to start small businesses and generate income to support their families.

The facilitator also highlighted how this simple but practical skill can contribute to better hygiene, self-reliance, and improved livelihoods.

A skill learned today can become an opportunity tomorrow.

When the Records Meet the Reality. 📋🤝

Today, we had the opportunity to host Mr. Elam, head office Maiduguri branch of Street Child of Nigeria and his colleague, for a practical review of our project documentation and activities.

And honestly, it was one of those moments that reminded us that we are all human, and there is always room to get better.

Together, we went beyond the paperwork-matching what was recorded in our documents with what was actually done in the field. Along the way, we found a few areas that needed clarification, some things that could have been better captured, and lessons that will help us improve how we document and track our work going forward.

For us, good documentation is not just about having files neatly arranged. It is about making sure that the story our documents tell is the same story being lived out in the communities we serve.

Mistakes and gaps can happen, but what matters is our willingness to identify them, learn from them, make the necessary corrections, and keep improving.

We sincerely appreciate Mr. Elam and the Street Child of Nigeria team for the guidance, honest review, and constructive feedback. These engagements help us strengthen our work and remain accountable to the communities, partners, and donors who trust us.

Because good humanitarian work is not about pretending everything is perfect. It is about recognizing what can be better and doing better.

Monday Again, But Never Just Another Monday.

Today may look like another Monday, but for us at NADA, every Monday is a fresh opportunity to turn plans into action.

We moved from our strategic roundtable meeting straight into the field-putting agreed plans into motion, making corrections where needed, and taking on new actions that can make a real difference in the lives of the communities we serve.

For us, this routine is more than a list of tasks to tick off. It has become part of who we are-a way of working that keeps us close to the people we serve and focused on what truly matters.

We plan. We listen. We act. We improve. And we keep showing up.

Because every action, no matter how small, can be a step towards making someone's life better.

A new week. A fresh start. Another opportunity to serve.

Every visit is an opportunity to learn, improve, and strengthen our impact.

As we continue implementing the NHF-funded project, regular monitoring and support visits help us reflect on our progress and ensure that the services we provide continue to meet the needs of the communities we serve.

Recently, we had the privilege of welcoming Marcelo, the West Africa Regional Director of Street Child of Nigeria, our consortium lead, along with his team, to our project implementation locations in Jere LGA, Borno State.

During the visit, the team observed our activities firsthand, interacted with community members and stakeholders in Shuwari Mangoro, and engaged with our field staff to better understand how our Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Child Protection interventions are being delivered.

The visit also provided an opportunity to assess the knowledge and practical skills of our team, review progress made so far, and identify ways to further strengthen service delivery. At our head office, the team met with our GBV case workers to review case management processes, share experiences, and discuss lessons that will help us continue providing quality support to survivors and vulnerable community members.

For us, this visit was more than an assessment; it was a chance to listen, learn, and grow together.

We sincerely appreciate Street child of Nigeria for their continued guidance, encouragement, and partnership. Together, we remain committed to delivering quality, accountable, and people-centered humanitarian services to the communities that need them most.

Every visit strengthens our commitment. Every lesson improves our service. Every community deserves our very best.
