As part of its commitment to promoting justice, peace, and social cohesion, Novel Alliance for Development Aid - NADA successfully organized a one-day Transitional Justice Programme for key stakeholders across its project-implementing communities in Borno State.

The session provided participants with valuable insights into the concept of transitional justice, its significance in post-conflict societies, and the roles of various actors involved in the process. Facilitators also highlighted actions and behaviors that constitute criminal offences, helping participants better understand issues of accountability, human rights, and the rule of law.

Through interactive discussions and knowledge-sharing, stakeholders gained a deeper understanding of how transitional justice mechanisms can support healing, reconciliation, and sustainable peace within their communities.

As we work towards a brighter future led by today's young generation, it is our collective responsibility to invest in their well-being at every opportunity. Whether through psychosocial support, quality education, healthcare services, or creating safe spaces for growth, every effort made towards a child today contributes to a stronger and more resilient tomorrow.

In commemoration of the 2026 Children's Day celebration, NADA staff in Bama LGA, Borno State, organized a memorable event on 10th June that brought together children from the community for a day filled with joy, learning, laughter, and meaningful engagement.

The celebration provided a platform for children to interact, participate in recreational activities, and experience the care and support they deserve. The smiles on their faces, the excitement in their voices, and the enthusiasm they displayed throughout the event reflected the positive impact of creating moments that nurture their emotional and social well-being.

🧼💧 FIGHTING CHOLERA STARTS WITH CLEAN HANDS! 💧🧼

At Nouvel Alliance for Development Aid (NADA), we believe that prevention is one of the most powerful tools in the fight against cholera.

Through practical demonstrations and community awareness sessions, our team is engaging children and community members on the importance of proper handwashing, personal hygiene, and healthy sanitation practices.

Today, we are:
👦 Teaching boys the correct handwashing techniques.
👧 Empowering them with life-saving hygiene knowledge.
🃏 Using educational cards and visual learning materials to make cholera prevention easy to understand and remember.

A simple act such as washing hands with soap and clean water can significantly reduce the risk of cholera and other waterborne diseases.

As we continue to support healthier communities, we encourage everyone to:

🚨 CHOLERA IS PREVENTABLE, NOT INEVITABLE! 🚨

At Nouvel Alliance for Development Aid (NADA), we join government agencies, health partners, community leaders, and humanitarian organizations in the collective fight against cholera.

Cholera remains a serious public health threat, but together, we can prevent its spread through simple, life-saving actions.

💧 Drink safe and treated water
🧼 Wash your hands regularly with soap and clean water
🍲 Eat properly cooked and hygienically prepared food
🚻 Use clean sanitation facilities
🗑️ Keep your environment clean and dispose of waste properly
📢 Stay informed and share accurate health information

Strengthening systems, improving coordination, and learning together for greater impact.

Over three productive days in Maiduguri, Borno State, and Damaturu, Yobe State, our staff (i.e., case workers and PSS facilitators), under the UNICEF project, convened for a Quarterly Project Review Meeting aimed at assessing progress, identifying implementation gaps, strengthening internal processes, and improving service delivery outcomes.

The sessions created space for meaningful reflection on project achievements, target performance, operational challenges, HR and finance processes, and collaborative action planning for the next implementation phase.

Through open dialogue, shared experiences, and cross-team learning, participants reinforced their commitment to delivering quality, accountable, and community-centered interventions for vulnerable populations.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all participants for their dedication and active engagement throughout the sessions.
